A cheap proxy for brewery is Carlsberg and Guinness Anchor. Good management and proffesional in their business.

Stocks like GUINNESS ANCHOR BHD AND CARLSBERY BREWERY are long term investment. Never never sell them. Hard to buy, but when bought hold them for long long time. One of the very very few companies in Malaysia that are run professionally. These two are the best. Never buy into Malaysian Government control companies, every year had NS to do.

There's been slight panic sell for other sin stocks such as GAB and BAT, I wonder if investors are overacting towards the coming budget. 28th sep will be the date of announcement budget 13

I don't think so. Valuation for these sin stocks are trading at all time high. These stocks have climbed more than 30% YTD. Perhaps institutional funds are channelling fund away from consumer stocks to construction stocks, in anticipation that the budget will be beneficial to them.

Read in one of the public announcement in the "STAR" newspaper article. GAB dividend is talked in Carlsberg thread because, I feel good things must be shared everytwhere. I am a investor in CARLSBERG AS WELL ALSO GUINNESS ANCHOR BHD. Both this stocks are like diamond in the MALAYSIAN STOCK MARKET. There are very few handful of stocks like these ones.

I feel the price of Carlsberg should not be any less than GAB. I expect the div to be around RMO-75 SENS per share in the coming year.
