Tan Sri Lau Cho Kun is filthy rich. He could easily buy up the floating shares and declaring privatization of HapSeng. If HapSeng share keeps on dropping, please attend AGM and demand full explanation from him and the board of directors!
An unknown quantity of FOREIGN FUNDS are running out through the same narrow door before they lose even more since the price dropping like a stone is scary to them...if they all panic at the same time, it can even conceivably limit DOWN...not impossible.
Yap James. What I wanna to say is that Hap Seng Credit Asset only has 50.9 m plus Pound only with near 1 m pound of sales. Therefore, selling at RM 840 m is higher than its Value which is good for Hap Seng
Personally will use my fund from selling off salute, myeg, Genting Berhad, Genting Singapore, Harta, Ajinomoto, F&N etc to buy this counter. Personally will buy more if HapSeng dropping further. No big issue for keeping HapSeng shares for the 6+% dividends (expecting special dividends too), it is more than EPF 5+% and fixed deposit of 4+%. Cheers!
Here I urge Tan Sri Lau Cho Kun and the board of directors of HapSeng to initiate share-buy-back to give confidence to investors! If not, the late Tan Sri Datuk Lau Gek Poh would definitely unhappy to see how HapSeng and the minority shareholders being treated like this!
buyback shares are always at disadvantage of minority shareholders. once palm oil back inborder with China backing, it shall be back in business. And Kalimantan will be new Indon capital. Lot of good days ahead. Once economy manipulator, US is vanished, global economy will improve
Normally when privatisation, will be low price, not high. Look at Boustead, privatized 85.5¢, which is only half it's NTA. Think logically, if u are owner of Hapseng, u want to buy cheap or expensive? Haseng NTA is only rm3.08, so IF any privatisation at all, we ate looking at rm2 levels at most
Unlike Boustead, hapseng cannot be value on NTA, because most of the profit coming from property, HS has three office towers near twin tower, land banking at Klang, plus 6 hotels build this year and ton of unsold units at KL and Sabah, those assets are going to double or tripple after 10 years, definitely shareholder will reject any offer below RM7. Most likely the push down is to trigger volume spike in order to admit into KLCI index, hopefully my guess is correct.
If I am Lau I will buy at RM 4.67 to RM 7 and it can stimulate the share price back to RM 10. Create both win win situation for Company and all of the Stakeholders related to Hap Seng. Booster the reputation for itself.
If I am Tan Sri Lau after reached RM 10. I will perform bonus issue of share same as Public bank. Improve or boost Hap Seng share volume. Then will back to KLCI index. Good direction for all investors.
This book is the result of the author's many years of experience and observation throughout his 26 years in the stockbroking industry. It was written for general public to learn to invest based on facts and not on fantasies or hearsay....
