@greatfunds. He was a Nestle's distributer before Nestle's shares were listed. Nestle just converted his purchase deposit into shares at par with a lien on them.

Malton didn't fly, it went up slowly. Insas also haven't flown. Insas very undervalued but have very weak shareholders. Up a bit they start to sell.

- Fin tech (ventured in 2012, so not much results as yet)
- Bio tech (some work in progress, not the time to announce yet)

Impression fr the AGM- only word I can think of is ambivalent. Many Sh brought out the pittance dividends paid even though company has the cash to give out. BOD is of the opinion that the available cash of 200mil can be better spend for future needs/ expansion. Due to current worldwide economic uncertainties, BOD said this cash will give them better negotiation power should opportunity arise. In other word, Cash is King. Insas "seems" to have the potential for growth but a number of their undertakings are a hit and miss kind of things. So very hard to make out whether this company is hold or sell for now. One of the Executive directors I thought is worth his salt is Dato Dr Tan Seng Chuan who is heading the IT division. He is also the ex VChairman of Inari.

The success in Inari speaks volumes of the abilities and far sightedness of the BOD. But the share price performance is pathetic. The market value of the holding of Insas in Inari exceeds Insas market capitalization. :)

Number of shares 660 million? 1% dividend only amount to RM6.6 million. Can't Insas pay, say 3 sen which amount to less than RM20 million?

The meagre dividend payment, I think, is the reason for the pathetic performance in share price. By paying good dividends, the company could easily raise capital from the capital market with rights issues. This however will also dig into the pockets of the major shareholders....

Shareholders would welcome rights issue if the management has proven that their investments are viable and lucrative and in the interests of the shareholders. By not paying good dividends is akin to not paying the staffs well and expect them to contribute to the company whole heartedly. I hope the BOD could read this. :)

Total Directors annual remuneration is about Rm5.5millions. With a dividend of 1 Sen per share, all the shareholders combine only receive RM6.63millions. Maybe the BOD could cut their remuneration bu 60% and save RM3.3millions and pay an extra 0.5 Sen dividend per share to the shareholders. THE BOD should agree with this and this will make both the shareholders happier and conserve cash for the company! HAHAHA! :)

but Sk better dun ask us right issue , Nowadyas ask right issue hundred percent will drop , no matter how good the company is , sure drop if ask RI you see L&G

,do you know why some comapny keep making loss but they increase their dividend pay , I mean recently making huge loss but can pay high dividend , Example got two in my hand
: CCM and JCY
CCM now big loss until EPS (cent) : -16.09 , however ccm dividned pay increase and very high
JCY non-stop qr net loss EPS (cent) : -0.40 but still pay very high dividend


TheContrarian , you got more experince than me , do you know this is a healthy sign or want to trap us by giving out high dividen d ?

Those companies have retained profits from earlier years. They are paying dividends out from retained profits brought forward from previous year.
