Got a gut feeling that they will release treasury stock as dividend. This happen in INSAS history before...if i remember correctly, INSAS do have around 5% of treasury stock 2 years ago. Or did it release already? Didn't follow this stock for last 2 years.

Don't put all your eggs into one basket. Diversify. There are many other undervalued counters. Each moves at their time. Timing is very important to maximize gains.

No lah, I am quite spread out, previously I had Malton as my sole property counter and when I sold off all my Malton, I bought a bit of OSK and Tropicana, the latter because you brought it up in discussion. I have bank stock in Affin-CV, construction in Cresbld, penny stock in PUC etc.

A few property counters shot up recently like Malton and KSL. Others like OSK and Tropicana are selling at deep discount. So, there's value in some. OSK also owns about 10% of RHB.

I think u remember me who sold Malton to early at 69c...anyway managed to pocket 10% profit

I had a lot of Malton, so I sold at 74.5 first, then 76.5 and finally at 84.5. Also received 2.5 sen dividend.

linges, you sold at a time when market was different and Malton was rather flat. No one expected Malton to suddenly shoot up. We can't predict the syndicates.

Take a quick look at Parkson. Guess it is great for trading. But high risk for invest. The way it run, probably will continue see cash burning and force them to sell assets. Insas better....

To me 10% is way too low to exit. I usually set a 30% gain target for laggards.

Parkson's HK listed subsidiary received estimated RM1 billion cash last month from the completion of its disposal of a China subsidiary. Gain attributable to Parkson is around RM300 million which translates into 29 sen per share. I figure at 63 sen Parkson wasn't expensive.

@ TheContrarian, it is selling asset to fill hole. If you look at the current liability number, it is way bigger hole there. I didn't go into details, but if really want to understand, it is better to understand if their liabilities are in USD. O&G company that go burst and can't refinance, mostly service their debt in USD while earning money in local market.

alooloo, I'm aware of Parkson huge USD loans taken to finance expansion in China and elsewhere. These overseas properties have value too. It sort of evens out things. Anyway I bought just a little.

Insas closing at 82.5 sen on heavy sell down isn't good. There might be further forced selling of contra players tomorrow unless the syndicate resumes buying. It seems syndicates are pulling back from most counters. Maybe North Korea planning to attack us. :-D

I also did a bit of research and discovered Insas can't do a share buy back anymore because the controlling shareholders own 32.96% of the paid up share capital and a share buy back will trigger the 33% MGO level.

How's share price going to increase if directors can't buy more or company can't do a share buy back without triggering 33% MGO?

I don't think there will be private placement because Insas is in net cash position, flushed with RM450 million in FD and Bank balances.
