The whole Bjc market cap is less than Rm 1b, it is damn cheap mah...!!

Vt is squeezing the rest of the weak holders and sellers of bjc dry, in order to engineer a fast & furious sharp upwards rebound later mah...!!

Singer is part of the positive contribution to the overall scheme of things of revival of bjc mah....!!

Ask yourself if VT plan to be very evil, he can always issue bjc share at 17.5 sen instead of 33 sen to buy singer ...if he is so bad as said and perceived, why VT do not do that leh ?

The long run overall intention of VT is good, u need to let his plan run thru, b4 bjc can go for a healthy sharp sustainable rebound mah...!!

The mechanism using is only through balance sheet valuations not market price to accept the Singer bail out. Furthermore, can't see any necessity to do so.

Very true...BJLand already making profit of RM144.18 million, once RM650 million received from Beijing SkyOcean...all impairments on sale of GMOC earlier will be written back as gains in the next few Qtrs to show more profit...Also compensation from Jeju Korea is a matter of time this year. Reason why VT wants to increase his direct shares from 24% to 34% or more in BJCorp by selling Singer is to benefit more when he takes BJLand private...golden goose...sendiri mahu..

wantanmi, VT owns 49+% of BJCorp, NOT24%, and it's over 52% if the shares bought back are cancelled.

VT's name is dirty and bad now, I think. I am worried there aren't many fund managers willing to take a long term investment perspective with his companies...

VT owns direct shares of 24.7% in BJCorp, if includes indirect shares from VT controlled companies, he may have more than 50%. If Singer sale is successful, he may increase his direct shares to more than 35% and if including indirect shares from other VT companies after the sale, he may control more than 62%?

As long there is foreign selling, Berjaya will drift lower & lower even with shares buyback. A very simple theory, all investors want some return from what they invested. So, if a company doesn't give you anything, for no reason for you to hold on and support them anymore.
So, trade along with them to get something back. World is changed after 202

Best don't touch unless you have enough to buy the whole company... VT has already shown us what he can do, NO dividend, NO price support if he's not buying, and who knows what investment strategy that minorities ONLY assured one thing so far, not getting a cent of dividend!

@ dear Douduo, why foreigners selling? Foreigners investors also same as us. Why drift lower & lower? This is the tactical approach and concerned less to integrity, responsibility. The government surveillance agencies have role to protect against unfairness and manipulation. As a layman also felt like value trap. Why value trapped? This bjcorp many said value RM 5 above, but boss showing lagging towards profits as news spread heard.exp, sensational new, but all flunk.

Yes sell and run,
They will sure make use of their profit to buy their boss non-profitable company such as Singer. For those minor share holders end of the day get nothing, either from the dividend or the share prices itself.
VT will make promises every years to entertain you all, made you all happy and keep the share and start dreaming day and night that some days later will get some good returns.

"Berjaya Tioman Resort's management today said that the over 50-year-old resort will cease operations from June 15, hit by the Covid-19 outbreak and to make way for a redevelopment on site.

"It is with a heavy heart to announce that Berjaya Tioman Resort will cease operations with effect from June 15, 2020, due to the unprecedented Covid-19 pandemic which has adversely impacted the tourism industry.

"Throughout this closure, the management will embark on a much-needed major redevelopment to revitalise the resort, which is more than 50 years old," it said in a statement.

The resort management also said that a retrenchment exercise will be carried out to cut cost.

"Upon completion of the redevelopment exercise, the management will consider offering new employment opportunities to all our affected employees,"
