Top picks. MPI and Unisem are the Top Picks for exposure to the sector recovery, given the exposures to the growing demand for power management integrated circuits (ICs) and diverse end applications. Besides, recovery in China’s semiconductor space following two lacklustre years will help to boost of its utilisation rate and economies of scale at their existing plants in China. They also stand to benefit from US-China trade tensions in both of their plants in Malaysia as a neutral ground, as well as from China’s self-sustaining policies. https://klse.i3investor.com/web/blog/detail/rhbinvest/2024-04-01-story-h-184755715-Technology_Positioning_for_the_New_Upcycle_U_G_OVERWEIGHT
ridiculous PE for most of semicon counter, mpi (over 100x), unisem (70x), vitrox (55x), frontken (54x), etc... all above 50x !!.. those only deal with hardware production, not like apps or software which could exponentially grow... huhu.
reality check.. this counter with only roughly 100m profit this year, should only price at $14.00 !!..(PE 30x). loong gone where profit was $327 (2022) to justify price above $50.
current price pure speculative and bull$hit!.. PE 60x - 100x !!. I guess IB stuck big time at this counter and they control the price.. only 210 milllion shares available and few million in circullation. With H0ng Le0ng and MP1 hold 60% shares, no wonder valuation of h0ng le0ng so big.. must be olso include ridiculous mark up price in this company.. which only generate about 100m per year profit.
Following the latest analyst upgrades, MPI now has four “buy” calls with target prices ranging from RM37.70 to RM43.00, out of seven research houses covering the stock, according to Bloomberg.
