From the perspective of net asset backing per share, this counter appear cheap if you are in the position to influence or control the running of the company. However the company is fully controlled by one group of shareholders. No way any body be it institution or individual can have any influence of the future of the company. So we are not surprised that institutional share holders are not keen to be strategic investors.

there are many ways to diversify your capital.

on top down basis, you have your asset allocations.

from there, zooming in to equities portfolios, you have diversification by sectors. of course, you will have different stocks in different sectors. alternatively, you could choose to invest in conglomerates such as Oriental.

if you are looking for a defensive play, a company that is backed by huge cash pile (80% of market value), plantations lands that are carrying at cost value, hotels, hospitals, etc., you are looking at a real bargain here.

Let's look at some financial metrics.

NTA is at RM11 backed by huge tangible assets.

Dividend yield is at 7% (twice of risk free rate MGS 3.5%).

Cash yield at a whopping 10% (yes, it's a cash generating machine). Implying a Price over FCF of 10x.

EV/EBIT is only 3x, giving you earnings yield of whopping 35%.

Of course, its ROE is low at 5% due to huge cash pile. Looking at a more reliable measure of its capital structure, its ROIC is at 16.5%.

it's a low beta stock, not one for the high risk takers

my friend working in hong leong bank told me now hong leong bank give car loan ,installment rm1000 per month bank account saving must have cash money 24k for instalment 2years money in 2 year bank to give lending...tightening lending...many bank loan margin give 70% max loans.

United Arab Emirates Claims China’s Sinopharm Vaccine Is 100% Effective At Preventing Moderate And Severe Covid-19

TOPLINE The experimental vaccine developed by China National Pharmaceutical Group, also known as Sinopharm, is 86% effective at preventing Covid-19 infection and 100% effective at preventing severe and moderate disease, health officials from the United Arab Emirates announced Wednesday, although with scarce detail provided about the trial.

The UAE health ministry cited an interim analysis of a late-stage clinical trial involving 31,000 volunteers as the source of its information, though neither they nor Sinopharm provided any data from the trial to validate the claims such as how many participants were infected or how many actually received the vaccine.

The ministry said “no serious safety concerns” were observed, though, again, no information on side effects was provided.

The ministry said the announcement is a “significant vote of confidence by the UAE’s health authorities in the safety and efficacy of this vaccine.”

The ministry added that it had officially registered the vaccine at the request of the manufacturer, which it says could eventually lead to the shot’s widespread authorization.

Super value company as RNAV is RM13 of which RM4.1 is net cash. Per share. Less share price of 5.2, remaining RM1.1 is against almost RM8 of assets! Also diversified asset base beyond Msia and Div yield exceeds 3%.
