its all forecasts ONLY!!!

if you see Bloomberg TV they invite hundreds of " Experts " to give "forecasts".

one guy gave such an extremely weird abnormal outlier forecast that Lisa Abramowicz started to say "something" and beginning to argue with the invited "expert" guest but was quickly stopped by Jonathan Ferro who explained that "its all forecasts, there is no right or wrong..."

Thats the whole problem takda orang summarised the reports leh. All talking futurre eps berapa berapa then takda see the last QR in details leh. Is the acct getting better or not compare to the prev qtr leh. Tak kan all the FA guys in the forum dunno read the report right. Ular SPM see using common sense also can see not good one more than good one leh. Thats why many agreed also lah. Then the price takda naik lah. Haiyoh. Correct?

I had a look again at HY Since so many says it is good. Making a note for myself here after going thru the QR again. Do point out if there is error....... @^_^@ meow....

1. Inventories increased by RM570M (36%)
2. Trade Receivables increased by RM 1.136B (111%)
3. Other receivables increased by RM1.54B (1155%)
4. Bank Balances decreased by RM 225M (-33%)
5 Capital and reserves attribute decrease by RM 476M (-23%)
6. Trade & Other payables increase RM 1.625B (71%)
7. Derivative financial liabilities increased by 1.174B (895%)
8. Borrowings increased by RM 1.022B (214%)
9. Cash flow from operating activities is negative

Summary: Equity increased due to rise in inventories, trade receivables. Bank borrowing increase and cash decrease. If this is my business, i generate alot of sales and expand my business by stock up with more goods but my customer has not pay me. Hence, i need to borrow more money to keep on continue my operation. My cash has reduce and the sum i owe my supplier has increase substantially........ @^_^@ meow....

*Extra Note. Currency profile of borrowings: USD.
USD strengthening and then interest rate hike........ This is interesting

Just glancing at the points extracted by Phoebe, not with an eagle eye......the Receivable increased as on the other side, increased in Payable, Bank balances, borrowings and derivatives liabilities causing bad cash flow. In other words, HY could have been OVER-TRADING, hence the extra financing via Bonds.

And at Phoebe's Extra footnote.....She's cautious on the USD currency as with the huge increase viz Ringgit.

Just my personal thoughts..

What should be your:
Inventories?
Receivables?
Payable?
And if you do refining margin hedging:
Refining margin swap contracts notional amount: USD 226,945,000
Marked to market at 30/06/22
Refining margin assets: RM 261,065,000
Refining margin liabiliaties : RM (1,751,332,000)
What will be your prepayment for this hedging?

The next question what will the Q3 marked to market refining margin swap contracts at 30/09/22 look like?

those who were silly enough to follow meow meow forecasts all died silently screaming on the way down from Penang Bridge.
Some who cannot afford to pay the toll to Penang Bridge did it screaming at nearest shopping center
