Facebook owner Meta Platforms Inc has agreed to pay $725 million to resolve a class-action lawsuit accusing the social media giant of allowing third parties, including Cambridge Analytica, to access users' personal information.

The proposed settlement, which was disclosed in a court filing late on Thursday, would resolve a long-running lawsuit prompted by revelations in 2018 that Facebook had allowed the British political consulting firm Cambridge Analytica to access data of as many as 87 million users.

Dec 23 (Reuters) - Apple Inc's (AAPL.O) workers in Australia initiated a strike Friday afternoon, demanding better working conditions and wages, a workers' union said, a move that might dent sales of the tech giant during the peak Christmas shopping time.

Workers represented by Australia's Retail and Fast Food Workers Union (RAFFWU) had earlier this month announced a walk out from Apple's retail outlets nationwide at 3 PM local time (0400 GMT) on Dec. 23, with plans to stay away throughout Christmas Eve.

The strike comes in the wake of the tech giant facing disruption at its flagship iPhone plant in China owing to a rare workers' protest against ultra-severe COVID rules in the country and poor handling of the situation at the factory.

Earlier in June, Apple workers in Maryland, United States, became the first retail employees of the tech giant to unionize in the country as workers continued to criticize the company's working conditions.

Ular baru recvd whatsapp from friend punya anak to join them Xmas session this Sunday. Orang makan turkey only on Xmas eve but Ular takda Xmas turkey pun ada free dinner. Not too bad also leh. Tesla Chief Executive Officer Elon Musk said on Thursday he will not sell any more Tesla stock for about two years.

While speaking in a Twitter Spaces audio chat, Musk said he foresees the economy will be in a "serious recession" in 2023 and demand for big-ticket items will be lower.

His comments came after a Tesla stock sell-off deepened on Thursday over worries about softening demand for electric cars and Musk's distraction with Twitter and his stock sales.

"I won't sell stock until I don't know probably two years from now. Definitely not next year under any circumstances and probably not the year thereafter," Musk said.

Shares of Tesla rose 2% in premarket trading Friday.

Xmas Celebration over already and ular also no regret ada dapat makan Turkey semalam. Kawan Ular punya anak masak ayam belanda belanja Ular dan anak Ular makan turkey. Unbelievable baru finished primary school this year can prepared a dinner for 10 persons. Enjoyed the dinner very much even though not cooked by celebrity chef. Maybe he is future celebrity chef potential leh. Ular primary school pun tak pernah masak ayam tak mau cakap masak ayam belanda leh. Goreng telur ayam the most only. Haiyoh. Correct?
