When dnex was apparently in breach of the agreement in the composition of directors as pointed by their JV partner,why denied and challenged it by referring to artibration?

There was no ground for arbitration and withdrawn in the end. To save face,they said settlement out of court.What a BS!

1) The Arbitration is the Loan of RM120 million via a sale of ICPS to MIMAS, which would violate the Majority shareholding term set by Khazanah for the takeover of Silterra.
(Still on-going)

SUBSEQUENTLY, Dx tried to wrestle control of Silterra and adding Directors on BOD:

2) The OS was a Writ in Protest in Court by CGP to obstruct Dx adding more Directors to BOD of Dnex SemiCond.
(Court has Rule case is settled, since both Parties has settled out of Court and Dx is NOT ALLOWED to add more Directors as per Partnership Agreement)

The contract wrangle is related to DNex’s subsidiary Dnex Technology Sdn Bhd (DTSB) which provides maintenance services for the National Single Window (NSW) system1. The NSW system is a platform that facilitates trade-related processes and transactions between government agencies and businesses1.

DNex claimed that it had received a letter from Dagang Net Technologies Sdn Bhd (DNT), the original contractor of the NSW system, stating that DNT had terminated its subcontract with DTSB effective Nov 15, 20221. DNex said that this showed that MoF recognised DTSB’s role and performance in maintaining the NSW system1.

However, DNT disputed DNex’s claims and said that it had validly terminated its subcontract with DTSB due to DTSB’s failure to perform its obligations under the subcontract2. DNT also said that MoF’s letter did not imply any endorsement or approval of DTSB’s performance or conduct as a subcontractor2.

The contract wrangle has caused uncertainty and volatility in DNex’s share price, which plunged by more than 30% on Nov 17, 202213. It has also raised questions about DNex’s ability to secure future contracts and projects related to the NSW system or other government initiatives3.

Zainal, the Ex ED wanted to streamline the group by disposing PING and focus purely on semi conductor biz but he was facing tons of upheaval and resistance from the Board. He was fed up and resigned to call it a day. Basically, Dnex is in the limbo now...

Biden giving incentive to chip manufacturers.. China also supports chip manufacturers in order to compete with the US.

What is left for us? Our government just keeps quiet and does nothing. The semiconductor is a crucial industry to transform us into a high-income country.

It did not bode well for the country's development and future growth. Don't keep telling us politic should not dwell in the economy. but the world has changed.

Our government needs to set the tone and growth path for our industry.

Samsung & TSMC are suffering right now.
