外资8月抛售马债51亿

2023年09月12日
（吉隆坡12日讯）外资在8月一共净卖11亿美元（约51.4亿令吉）大马债券，录得自2021年以来的最大外流。

根据彭博社报道，外资在8月一共从大马债市撤走11亿美元，是2021年11月以来最大的一次流出，证明此前外资持续买进大马公债的趋势，只是昙花一现。

8月的外流，直接将今年前7个月流入马债的外资减少了1/4左右。在8月杪，外资持有的马债比率降至23.4%，而7月底为24.2%。

美联储可能继续升息，并将高利率周期维持更久，是引发上个月外资撤离马债的原因。

此外，外资在7月大量流入，超越过去10年的年均净买份额，造成投资者在8月重新调整仓位，令上个月的外流情况更加恶化。

8月的情况，令市场恐惧外资接下来会继续撤离马债。

根据彭博的大马债券指数，上个月马债表现令以美元为主的投资者损失2.7%，在东南亚中表现几乎最差，仅比泰国好。

位于新加坡的马银行证券固定收入研究主管文森潘（音译）向彭博表示，外资在8月净卖马债的原因，主要是本区域的投资情绪转差。

“在8月流出的部分外资，可能是来自于海外银行在之前净买马债的资金。海外银行倾向于不长期持有同一资产，而且也很容易受到风险情绪的影响。”

他同时称，若中国经济下行和鹰派美联储，带来更进一步的情绪恶化，外资可能会进一步从撤出大马。

“在过去6至9个月，已有大量累积外资流入马债，接下来一旦情绪恶化，恐怕投资者会进一步撤离。”
