osk will take up the shares, crucial for better position during negotiation with epf, power play in rhbcap top mgmt. this is well known already, olh didn't sell oskib for cash, he has always wanted POWER and not cash

Now question is, if take up all shares to avoid % diluted and good for nego if really privatize happen; but dividen will not benefit to shareholder in near term. Invest for you own cash convenient level; OSK will still payout div, but should be lesser. ROI based in shorterm will not benefit much. Happy trading.

The NAV is RM2.57 and the PE is low. There is no reason to sell to him at RM1.68. The takeover at RM1.68 is really not reasonable.

note that is bcos a dark horse came in silently and held high % (10?) of stakes, causing quek to pull hand brake. suspect olh silently getting ready (or close to) capturing up to 90% of total outstanding shares. if olh does, the case of hlbcap will not happen

From Hong Leong Investment bank HLIB Research


On 9 Jul, OSK Equity Holdings Sdn Bhd (OSKE) acquired
4.41% of OSK Holdings via direct business transaction and
open market.
 Post acquisition, OSKE together with Tan Sri Ong Leong
Huat and persons acting in concert hold a total of 36.72% of
OSK Holdings. Thus, it has triggered a Mandatory General
Offer (MGO) at an offer price of RM1.68.
 MGO is conditional upon major shareholder obtaining more
than 50% stake and the offeror intends to maintain the
listing status.
Comment  We view the offer price as not attractive given that the offer
price is significantly below its SOP of RM2.45 as well as
below the value of its 9.82% in RHB Cap which is worth
RM2.14.
 The major shareholder’s decision to add on its stake in the
company (which triggered the MGO) reflects its confident in
the value of the company.
 Moreover, given the intention of maintaining the listing
status, we believe the MGO is more a regulatory issue
rather than taking the company private.
 Thus, minority shareholders should not accept the offer.

As mention in HLIB research, even RHB also pay >RM2 to buy OSK share; why OLH think that shareholder will sold off to at Rm1.68? Non sense, unless they hold >90% of OSK share and can apply force take over.
