据Mysteel获悉，近期市场普方坯进口价格大约在710-725美元/吨CFR江阴港，周环比上涨24-28美元/吨。部分来自印度的低价资源，大约在700美元/吨，但考虑到印度疫情可能造成的船只无法靠岸或停留14天才能进港，大部分买家对印度资源保持谨慎

Under the guidance of the iron and steel reduction policy, some domestic steel mills have announced maintenance plans. Taking Jiangsu Province as an example, the total crude steel output from January to June was 63.58 million tons, an increase of 12.77%. In order to complete the target for the whole year, Jiangsu's leading sample steel mills will need to reduce their output by more than 4 million tons in the second half of the year. In order to meet the needs of the domestic market, imported semi-finished products are then rolled into the first choice of most steel mills. Chinese steel mills are actively looking for opportunities to import billets.
According to Mysteel, the import price of general billet in the recent market is about US$710-725/ton CFR Jiangyin Port, an increase of US$24-28/ton on a week-on-week basis. Part of the low-cost resources from India are about US$700/ton, but considering that the Indian epidemic may cause ships to be unable to dock or stay for 14 days to enter the port, most buyers are cautious about Indian resources

Ans : ESSB of Hiaptek is able to compete internationally to export billets.
ESSB will increase the capacity from 700,000 MT to 1.5 million MT in FY 2022.
Hiaptek will perform well in FY 2022.

The present capacity of ESSB is 700,000 MT, the actual throughput is 800,000 MT as per RHB report. Please read through RHB's report in detail.
The capacity will be increased by 100% in FY 2022.

To put things into perspective, there are only two major steel players operating blast furnaces currently — Alliance Steel and Eastern Steel.

Ann Joo is adopting the hybrid blast furnace and BF-EAF (blast furnace-electric arc furnace) technology and Masteel is also scaling up its operations in line with the installation of a new technological package.

In general, a blast furnace is three times more capital-intensive than an electric arc furnace (EAF) but its steelmaking cost composition including raw materials is about 25% lower than the latter’s.

No point to attack me, please check my records in I3.

If the stock is not good, I will never recommend it in I3.
I care more on my reputation than money.

In 2021, I recommend steel stocks only.
I recommend Hiaptek in I3 because Hiaptek is my favourite stock.

I did not recommend LeonFB but I support this stock because the fundamental of this stock is also very good.

Blast furnace of ESSB will help to save RM 100 million a year.
Hence the profit of Hiaptek will be good in FY 2022.

What joyd12345 said is true. Price of steel may fall like london bridge in 2024. Not just steel, CPO, Oil, Gold, Houses, Flight tickets, etc. However, having said that, in 2024, it can also be going up. Nobody can actually predict the future. That's why its called investing. If u believe will go down, then don't invest. If u believe will go up, then invest. What is almost definite is most things will go up in the long run. Of course most will recognise that as inflation
