IMO - Chart wise, Hiap Teck is still going south. Practically all steel counters are also weak.

Potential RM13.4m fine from IRB is hanging around Hiap Teck neck.

Prefer to give Hiap Teck a pass and wait for a good bottom support before committing my capital.

@kamcheonghui, I am just a very ordinary investor. I can not tell if Hiapteck will fall further to below 45 sen. This is because price for the best stock is also at the mercy of the broader market sentiment which unfortunately is very poor for Bursa . Since I am taking at least 6-12 months view I am therefore not too concerned of possibly further price correction , especially buying in at 45 -46 sen. Afterall, no one has the crystal ball to know the next price !

Windows dressing is approaching, lo and behold as fund managers and big boys are leaving for long waited holiday break since the last travelling restriction. Focus on your target price and not tenure. There is no such thing long or short term unless your target price is far reaching. Be patient for a little while and let's see how this folds.

In the eighty, any stock with PER < 15 is considered to be a cheap stock.
Presently there are many stocks trading at a PER < 5.
Many investors still said it is still expensive.

Genetec is trading at a PER = 95 times, still shout buy. The share price is 36.00.

Hiaptek is trading at a PER = 4.67 times, still shout sell.

From my observation, most commodity based co trades in single digit PE due to their cyclical nature in biz

However, many of our oil n gas co traded at double digit PEs in the past, prior to 2017.

Aluminium and steel are commodity too.
The price of aluminium is also dropping.
Aluminium and steel are 2 the most important metal used in EV.
Pmetal is trading at a PER of 59 times.
The market cap of Pmetal had increased from 5 billion to 50 billion.
Market cap of Pmetal has increased 10 folds.

It is a matter of which syndicates or fund managers are powerful.
The syndicates or fund managers of Pmetal is super.
The fund managers of Pmetal is helping to push up the share price.

I think the syndicates or fund managers of Hiaptek is helping to push down the share price to buy them cheap.
No logic the share price is lower than esos or warrant conversion price at 0.50.
I had thought about it for a few nights.

The problem is not about the stock , it is about the dying Malaysian stock market that both local institutions and foreign investors deserting. Without sufficient buying interest, the price is drifting lower and lower.
