Two choices:
1. Sell at our own TP before ex date.
2. Hold, earn dividend, reinvest/spend then sell at your own TP

Q3 bad or good not important,
Q4 Dec - Feb, Holiday and Chinese new year, oil drop from 86 to 63. And at CNY ticket is sell at normal price x 2 x3.
SD will be either at Q3 or Q4, as long as got holding power

Besides Warren Buffett and Peter Lynch (and also years of formal education lah), my other investment sifu is Joe Terranova. Basically Terranova says clear all position before major announcement, long/short when the solid results is out.

So, as planned, I will sell all tomorrow. After analysing the result, then I may choose to buy back.

You all know, now the economy is really in bad shape. I recheck, airfare still low. Coming quarters will be weak.

Regarding SD, I really don't think its going to be out tomorrow or next week. Simply because the transaction is not completed yet. Maybe it will announce on the basis Airasia have most of the money already though.

AAC deal, there are still 5 planes leased to a third party not yet transfer to buyer, BBAM. Just read about bad debt issue in AAX regarding some plane leased to third party. Coincidence? Don't know anything further.

Still make around 25k. Happy!!!!

Aax make loss in last qtr too but aa makes higer profit compare to corrospnding qtr...aax cannot compare at all to aa coz aa is short haul n much more profitable when come to high oil price.

Aa made 147% profit for 2018 qtr 2 than 2017 even though 2018 qtr oil price is 86...while 2017 is much lower....so dun use aax to bench mark aa...u will regret to compare two result together n make wrong decision..

AAX without impairment lost actually is making profit.. TF aredy mentioned AAX will be bad after Q1 for 2 Q.. But look at AAX cost saving in operation .. AA will do better .AA no impairment loss but got cash 4500 million (4.5 billion ) . tomm is last chance to buy ticket for SD

Remember AA price in big drop in Oct from 3.00 to 2.40 and only start raise back to 3.++ recently. And it is also cause by the Oil price high during Oct & Sep period. So, is this hint that this coming qtr report may not good or.... VERY BAD ?

i dunno this qtr good or not..but i am sure next qtr gonna be super good...so any sell down will surely rebound...n go higher...even aax nex qtr gonna be good...so do u think u can buy cheap with next super good qtr cum dividend ...i think that explain why it rise from 2.60 to now...becoz ppl oledi start betting for the future result...

with aax current qtr 40% reduction in expenses is remarkable...i can c aa will hav further reduction in expenses as well as many cost initiative start showing its effectiveness...with much lower fuel...higher revenue...lower cost...i think its super clear that the share price will b well supported..i think this qtr n ext qtr gonna hav splendid result..n fy 2018 gonna be the best year for airasia...
