New competitors that enter the market need time to eat up market share. Not say straight start business will straight get customers. Might take two three or five years to really compete with AirAsia.

FIrst movers advantage in business is key.

And you won't even have enough planes to go head on. Why worry? Don't be silly and bet on newcomers that will continue to bleed to expand and capture market share. Add in all those marketing and branding expanses.

People don't realise how hard it is to establish a brand and scale up operations. Talk is easy. Try and start and business as a new entrant and experience it. And economies of scale is also crucial.

I found the airline name, Rayani air is a good example. Low cost mean low profit. You need to sell huge volume of tickets to make profit.

Just as a reminder to all of you: AA has hedged 52% of their oil @63USD
For Q1-2019, oil price is significantly lower than Q1-2018, but partly balanced by the higher USD
Q1-2019 @ 4.08 against Q1-2018 @ 3.9

Q1-2019 will be a good earning quarter, but as compared to Q1-2018, there might be less net profit due to the lack of remeasurement gain.

The fair price for AA should be at 2.8-2.9 level, but we might not be able to see the rebound before C67 expire, if you know what I mean.

If they keep the price below 2.6, that means they are going to earn 7.5million ringgit for sure, why not?

Dividend announcement will not affect exercise price, it will only affect the option price leading to the ex-div date. So if AA announce dividend then the CW price should drop, but not the CW exercise price.

How to be overvalued when AA is only valued on its airlines business. Digital, logistics and the rest are not even valued in yet.

Read up why Warren Buffet loves banks and payment processing companies. BigPay has the potential to grow into something like PayPal and Square in the next five years.
Red Cargo might even outgrow some of the smaller local logistics companies if everything goes well.

And AA is trying to clone Traveloka too internally instead of acquiring an overvalued existing startup/unicorn.

Cannot tahan all the clones.

As much as I hate the leasing cost projected increase (very likely), I believe if management can get the digital to pump more revenue in as fast as possible, those will likely offset the fear.

But then, Q1 might still disappoint IMO. I'm looking beyond that, doesn't really matter since KLSE is also incredibly underperforming now anyway.
