AA can’t die? Their balance sheet is not able to sustain a crisis. Even airlines with stronger balance sheet is struggling. Look at their maintenance cost and depreciation+lease % over total revenue, compare it with other airlines and you will see that AA is not managing their cost well enough. Unfortunately the only saving grace for them is the digital banking license, but if they don’t get it or failed to sustain for another 2 quarters.. it’s goodbye to them.

FYI: Flybe also grounded already. Whose next?

Covid-19 and politician unstable make economy slown down fundamental company metamorphism ,expect local and foreign funds money would not flow in big cap and mid cap stock because everybody scare buy high losses money . In this few month expect Funds manager money would flow out in bigcap and midcap stocks and will short selling midcap stocks for make money so now no prospects cannot buy and hold .
market stock RM5.00 drop to RM 2.00 ,followed RM2.00 drop RM1.00,followed RM1.00 drop to 50 cent,followed 50 cent drop to 20cent ,followed 20 cent drop to 10cent ,followed 10cent drop to bottom.
This is a opportunity markets money no longer will flows in cheaper stocks sharks will goreng lows price stock at bottom..

An evening star formed in 3 days (Wed - green, Thur - "+", Fri - red) successfully trapped in retailers who chasing high on Wed, Thur and being forced sell today.

Airlines profit margin is very thin. Most of the airlines are government owned because it has the multiplier effect to the economy as a whole.

I am of the view that AirAsia and its subsidaries never really made money all these years.... they managed to get by with accounting and also sale and leaseback agreement.

If they are cash rich and ethical , where aren't they refunding the passengers who have booked flights to japan , china , and korea?

Malaysia Airlines on the other hand are offering refunds and flight change to their customers.

The Public only see the surface and blame Malaysia Airlines for losing money, but fail to see their contribution to malaysia's economy via tourism, and the supply chains.

AirAsia on the other hand shows "profit" but are not refunding poor passengers, and conducted a questionable sale and leaseback agreement.

We could witness one of the biggest bubble bursting soon.

Folks, pls wake up n face the reality....looking ahead aviation business is looking bad so bad...,burn rate is fast... Very soon cash depleted. Wat follow is retrentchments, cut down routes, cut down frequency...when it happen it will catch u by surprise..

At this price level, irs artificially supported. This is still the chance to get out above 1... When the next round funds selling, there will be merciless. Of course it will rebounb but at wat level? Just take k folks. Looks like our local covid cases will continue to rise abiove 100 in no time... Sad sad sad with the politicians !! Hunger for power n forgo our safety!!!

Airasia had reported first annual losses (FY19) since listed. This losses has not even factor in the effect from corono virus panic, which started in early 2020. Brace for even more losses for FY20, expected to be >RM 1 billion. Alot of airline may go bankrupt this year.
