“Sslee > Is growth [Zero Fare Promotion (ZFP)] at the expense of profit good/sustainable?”

My only involvement in CapA is ZFP; not holding any CapA share…therefore will try to answer the above question. Is ZFP related to CapA growth? My opinion on ZFP is just a gimmick to lock in my Cash for future travel at a discounted price. Actually, ZFP should be Discounted Fare Promotion, as needed to pay some taxes and Fuel Surcharge and some miscellaneous charges up front. It is Willing buyer, Willing seller. Does it equate to growth? The answer is Yes and No; Yes if the Cash Not for offsetting debts and a big No in CapA case as foreign currency debts over a Billion RM.
The next question on profitability; the moment the flight takes-off with empty seats, definitely it will be a loss of revenue. With some seats on ZFP (DFP?), the incidentals expenses like Plane Parking fees, Fuel Surcharge, etc already partly covered. On a sustainable level, your guess is as good as mine; at least Cash already collected up front, it is just filling the small gap among the big stones…Happy Trading and TradeAtYourOwnRisk

The known crazy MikeCheatYouCrazy had become even crazier and one upon a time he even login as OleOleOle trying to teach Stony how to get capA out of PN17.

Stony must be rolling on the floor laughing non-stop if he happen to read the below.

Posted by OleOleOle > Mar 15, 2024 1:31 AM | Report Abuse
New out of PN17 option without selling AA Aviation business to AAX:

Action 1:
Assume excess valuation for each plane of US$3.8mil. Or may be higher! LOL
Total 219 air planes yield excess value gain of RM3,821mil (1US$ to RM4.5915)

Action 2:
Don't give free CAPI shares to CapA investors, but instead use it to double the goodwill from US listing.
Goodwill RM2.36 bil to RM4.72 bil.

Action 3:
Make agressive profit target for 2024: RM2 bil net profit after tax. LOL

Action 4:
Stop buying new planes for one year. LOL

To get out of PN17:
Total Equity Deficit = - 10,469.5 mil (RM)
Valuation gain = 3,821.0 mil (RM)
US Listing Goodwill = 4,720.0 mil (RM) [Note: No free CAPI share to CapA investors.]
2024 Profit target = 2,000.0 mil (RM)
--------------------------------------------------------------
Net Cap-A Equity = 71.5 mil (RM)
== 1.7c NAPS

Posted by Balian de Ibelin > 5 days ago | Report Abuse

The excess valuation for those planes does not exist.
because advert is likely "old airframe" with "new engines" he saw online for sale. 😁

All AA plane engines were all used and the run hours and flight hours are likely on the overused side. Emphasis on over used.

A valuation exercise will most likely generate a shortfall and CapA likely have to compulsorily impair assets value. Reduce NTA by RM3 Billion instead of adding.
MikeCheatYouCrazy just gets info online and thinks he is expert.
A little knowledge is a very dangerous thing.🤣

“ken2004 > After awhile not back, notice the one making so many message and analysis is those not buying or owning the share LOL........”

Quite true, my only contribution to CapA is to get the best Discount Fare Promotion (DFP); planning to go to Japan or China next month…CapA, do Not abandon ZFP, hopefully can restructure the debts and don't touch any of the promotion gimmick. Will buy some CapA shares if visualise any turnaround!!

Yes Lah...There is no business like Tourist Business. The Malaysian Aviation Commission (Mavcom) has reported a steady increase in air passenger traffic across both domestic and international sectors.

Air passenger traffic statistics released today showed that passenger numbers were up 14.3% year-on-year and up 7.7% month-on-month. For the first seven months of 2024, the cumulative air passenger traffic reached 55.4 million passengers, in line with Mavcom’s forecast of 93.9 to 107.1 million passengers for the entire year.

All Mabel Airlines Team continue to climbs today ..

Tourism and business around SEA, CHINA are booming compare with EU and USA.
Capital A is a SEA based one stop tourism company with air line business necessary to be part of the ecosystem.

Airbus and Boeing are still having supply chain issue in fulfilling their order, this is not an issue that can be solve in short term.
https://investors.boeing.com/investors/news/press-release-details/2024/Boeing-Forecasts-Demand-for-Nearly-44000-New-Airplanes-Through-2043-as-Air-Travel-Surpasses-Pre-Pandemic-Levels/default.aspx
https://www.businesstimes.com.sg/companies-markets/transport-logistics/airbus-cuts-guidance-supply-chain-snags-continue-bite
https://skift.com/2024/06/25/airbus-will-deliver-fewer-new-planes-this-year/
Thus airline with existing plane or grounded plane that can be refurbish to continue fly safely will take the sales from those airline that are still waiting for new airplane.
Capital A has both new plane order waiting to be deliver and grounded plane that can refurbish to be back to service. Capital A airline business has advantages over other airline, while the Capital A tourism ecosystem is growing with the booming of SEA and China tourism and business.

Human have emotion and when come to stock they hold Confirmation bias

Confirmation bias is a term in cognitive psychology that describes how people naturally favor information that confirms their existing beliefs.

Example:

money for nothing..
https://theedgemalaysia.com/node/723812

Is that really free maney or money for noting?

The so called free money or money for nothing is life saving money to roll over the current lease liabilities and payables from current to non-current bonds/debts to enable capA to survive for another year and lives to fight another day

This is the word of auditor and not mine
We have assessed the reasonableness of the cash flow projection provided by the management (Note 2.1). The going concern of the Group is dependent on the following:
1. Successful implementation of a Revenue Bond program; and
2. Continuous support from Group's lessors

I deal with auditor for the past 20 years due to work.
Auditor is a reference for statutory compliance not business. Most of them they have no clues whether a business can turnaround , loss monies or made profit the next year.

Take text out of context from auditor for confirmation bias is very unwise.

Please read more to understand the current global travel trend and airline business to better grab what is going on with business world.
Read from industry leaders like Boeing and Airbus comments on airplane matters, skift business intelligence on travel news.

The travel demand for SEA and China is hot and keep growing.
Capital A restructuring is timely, the new structure of leaner assets with focus on one stop travel and logistics solution provider will benefit from this travel boom of multiple years.

Sslee

Posted by Sslee > 4 days ago | Report Abuse

When a company in PN17, it is company management responsibility to prepare a cashflow projection for the coming year to address the going concern per statutory compliance otherwise the external auditor will dare not sign off the financial account for the year.

So are you now disputing the external auditor on:
We have assessed the reasonableness of the cash flow projection provided by the management (Note 2.1)?

Or on capA management on
The going concern of the Group is dependent on the following:
1. Successful implementation of a Revenue Bond program; and
2. Continuous support from Group's lessors??

Yes Paul...

Cum to AirAsia...

PUTRAJAYA: A shortage of aircraft engineers and mechanical components has led to recent flight disruptions at Malaysia Airlines Bhd (MAB), said Transport Minister Anthony Loke.

An audit by the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) revealed that 63 of 411 qualified MAB Engineering Services staff have left since January.

"CAAM found that these resignations may be due to more attractive salary offers from other maintenance companies," Loke said at a press conference today.

He said the findings were based on a surprise investigation conducted by CAAM at Malaysia Airlines and MAB Engineering Services from June 24 to June 28.

SEPANG, 29 August 2024 – Capital A Berhad (“Capital A” or the “Group”) today reported its unaudited financial results for the quarter ended 30 June 2024 (“2Q2024”).

The Group, consisting of Aviation Group and Capital A Companies - Capital A Aviation Services, Teleport, MOVE Digital and Capital A International, posted second quarter revenue of RM4.9 billion and EBITDA of RM735 million, representing Year-on-Year (“YoY”) increase of 54% and 59%, respectively. The result is achieved despite ongoing fleet reactivation efforts with 22 aircraft remaining grounded. Capital A’s non-aviation companies showcased promising progress, achieving over RM1.3 billion in Year-to-Date (“YTD”) revenue, surpassing YTD revenue in FY2023.

Collectively, the Group achieved Net Operating Profit of RM52 million but a Net Loss of RM542.5 million, primarily due to RM403.9 million in unrealised foreign exchange losses and over RM175 million in finance and depreciation cost relating to non-operating aircraft costs. However, the Group’s YTD net cash from operations doubled YoY to RM2.1 billion.

Kena whacked by Malaysia Airlines Ryanair Yield Control Curve implemented since 2019.

The only solution is to FORCE Malays.ia Airlines to adopt back fixed pricing yield curve of pre-2019.
or Malaysia Airlines pays CapA RM20 Billion and CapA takes over Malaysia Airlines.
Any other method is doomed.

CapA punya Reverse Ryanair Yield Control Curve will burn the Malaysia Airlines RM20 Billion in less than 5 years though.

CapA and Stony is in survival mode that the fact and reality. The recent appreciation of Ringgit against USD help but is it too litter too late?

CapA need recapitalize and lessors need to take a hair cut. CapA is too good to the lessors and still paying lessors RM (100,343,000 + 76,568,000) for non operating aircrafts in Q2 ended 30/6/2024.
