I think drop in lumber price should not effect Evergreen as it produce 75% of MDF/PB and 25% of RTA/value added product. MDF was made up by 82% wood fibre, 9% of urea 9% of paraffin wax + water.Drop in lumber price shall benefits Evergreen as raw materials are getting cheaper.
Dropped in share price cause by external factors ie DJ correction, recession and inflation fear. Evergreen manage to back to profitable by both internal/external factors. External -increase of ASP and external factors -company restructure, cost control efficiency and increase production of higher margin products. Currently share was traded at 0.685 translate to 0.57 x BV which still at huge discount.
msia retail investors r funny because they r bullish whenever the raw material price increases, vice versa. The best recent example was mflour surged when wheat price spiked due the india's export ban.
Previous floods in Johor is affecting Evergreen factory operation therefore I think for Evergreen coming QR it will be good if there is YOY increase...
The HLIB never do proper research and mentioned Q1 earning 16.8mil , in fact evergreen was hit 17.5mil. If they are able to maintain such Qr on coming 3qr for FY22, whole year earning 70mil which mean share price might hit back yr2016 rm0.9 - rm1.00. Certainly now correction due to recession and inflation by giving more time, share price will definitely hit up higher again.
@Hunter_x_Hunter you obviously didn't read past the first paragraph of the HLIB report nor do you understand what a core net profit (strip off one-off items) is....
@vcinvestor you are such a joker. Pls go read more and research before commenting. Don’t act professional here. Obviously the HLIB sharing the info is to misleading public. Pls open your eye big big including your behind one.
@Hunter_x_Hunter May I know what did you mean by HLIB's "misleading public" - this is a relatively serious accusation. I have read the whole report and there isn't anything that indicates so. Core net profit is indeed non-IFRS profit as commented by @vcinvestor, and HLIB has disclosed the adjustments they did. If you meant their forecast for a weaker 2Q, you can't judge that it's misleading until the result is out three months later. Comparing the information contained in HLIB's report and management's discussion in the quarterly report, it seems to me that the analyst has talked to the management post-result.
a company reporting consistent profit in a tough environment and outperforming its peers. and some ppl still call this a Holland counter. I think it is the commentator that is Holland
No wonder so many people losing money in the market because they only rely on fundamental, if consistent profit is so good why price dropped so fast, use your brain, all are manipulated and controlled by operator...really live like a stone...lol
@adikhantamking, so how your fundamental counter today, performing according to your kaosai fundamental strategy...lol...really a fool like vcinvestor, kaosai partner in evergreen...die together
Open your eyes big big, what happened to glove counters now, last time many people also talked about fundamental, now all of them masuk longkang d...if operator goreng based on fundamental then nobody needs to work lo...really brainless
if the company has solid fundamentals then when market is irrationally pricing it low, it will be a great time to buy cheap. that is how Warren buffet got rich. those who keep saying don't buy bcoz of operators, then pray tell what can you buy? according to your twisted logic, no counters can be bought so if you really believe ur own theory, don't bother to invest in listed cos and don't bother to comment here. whenever u comment, u debunk Ur own theories
This book is the result of the author's many years of experience and observation throughout his 26 years in the stockbroking industry. It was written for general public to learn to invest based on facts and not on fantasies or hearsay....
