Correction : Shld read as The 3rd dividend entitlement date is 4/10 (Fri) @ RM12.00 nett. Hiddengem..I don't understand what you mean RM 12.00net. Please explain to me...thanks
For a better understanding use the number of units instead of lots. One unit of share is entitled to a dividend of 0.012 sen. So if you have 1,000 units (assuming you coughed out RM1,000 to buy at a t a price of RM1) you will get RM12. (1,000 x 0.012). In terms of percentage you are getting 1.2%. So far this year the company has paid out RM36 for 1,000 units of stock holding which is equivalent to 3.6% of your investment of RM1,000 - slightly better than the current FD rate of 3% offered by most banks.
Tqvm inwest88 for clarification on the calculation method for dividend yield for new investors to understand by using the current per unit method, if not the newbie will b confused. So whenever I mentioned 1 lot it is equivalent to 1000 units & not 100 units as a lot of people r using.
Small issue - no thanks. In the past 1 lot is 1,000 units but a few years back, Bursa changed it to 1 lot = 100 units to allow the general public to invest in the very expensive blue chips. For example, say you want to go into AMWAY which is RM12 now. Previously you must buy a minimum of 1 lot (1,00 units) which requires RM12,000. Now you can buy 1 lot which is 100 units and pay RM1,200.
This week will PANTECH be able to cross the RM1.00 mark to ......RM1.08......RM1.15 ? The answer is absolutely 'YES' due to the unhealthy hazy enviroment having disappeared & this week shall be bright & sunny for 'bumper harvest'. Good luck to all investors.
This book is the result of the author's many years of experience and observation throughout his 26 years in the stockbroking industry. It was written for general public to learn to invest based on facts and not on fantasies or hearsay....
