60% of Msians cant afford to buy properties so politicians may make noise ,and 50% of UEMS Iskandar projects buyers r foreigners . Land are being held back so this is actually good for long term but will affect short term profits. Land farmed out to Gamuda , BRDB, Walker and others to develop is stupid. Must maximize profits. Improve security through face recognition artivision technology will boost demands straight away and land prices

UEM Sunrise is being sued by Bank Kerjasama Rakyat Malaysia for recovery of the property which was acquired by Sunrise in 2008. (SunBiz)

This announced on 19th July may hv caused the drop

now Fitch made a downgrage, S&P will make comment soon...our borrowing denominated in foreign currencies will become expensive...this is no good for many of our big companies listed on stock exchange

its a big counter of coz lah. look at the other property counters, lower profit yet even more expensive.

Iwalk, I m from Iskandar lah, honestly, nothing to gloat about development, I m worried it may eventually turn into white elephant. The infrastructure has been ready for sometime but development pace is far from its actual plan. They are selling lands but not developing it, it is making the property prices in JB look pricey.

Think about this, couple of International Schools, One International Brand Specialist Centre, LEGOLAND, Horizon Hills, Nusajaya Gated and Guarded communities and some Government offices , the rest not even off the ground yet....

lol with the drop in ringgit, the singaporeans will be flocking to cash in. anyway still too early to see improvement in iskandar development. real value will only be unlocked much further on.

Malacca got traffic jam in city, Ali Rustam also lost despite so much development. no match for Iskandar. Iskandar will peak in 5 yrs time

Today, to me is a mercy. Malaysia bond declared as negative, basically mean malaysia in deep debt.

Minus 20 index is consider very mild with this fitch rating.
