Just imagine 7 consecutive Qr losses then suddenly last Qr start to make profit at 50% factory capacity.
i think the worst already behind JCY now. so now we're looking at growth for both revenue/profit and capacity expansion. RM 1 before Qr seems possible. Also need to remember that this co giving out dividends every year until they're loss making.. so we can look forward to dividend plays as well but not in near future i guess..

KUALA LUMPUR, July 24 — Malaysia’s stock market is experiencing a resurgence as global investors regain interest, following years of net outflows. International funds have become net buyers of Malaysian equities in the semiconductor industry and artificial intelligence (AI) data centres. No big deal for JCY today surge 6.52% and now at 0.735. Previously it was 0.8 in average. More momentum is required to gain traction for the rise of HDD/Data center business. I would expect a bigger leap when the QR report is out as soon as early August.

Seagate report Total revenues of HDD (91.5% of revenues) rose 25% year over year to $1.727 billion in the reported quarter. On a sequential basis, revenues were up 17%.

Systems, SSD & Other segment’s revenues (8.5%), including enterprise data solutions, cloud systems and solid-state drives, were $160 million, down 27% on a year-over-year basis and 10% sequentially.

Looks like JCY absorbing all at current price.. soon we can see the take off.

Btw if you think thoroughly the counters that will benefit DC/AI boom looks like this :

1. Landowners - UEMS, Sime Darby, Sunway, etc
2. Developer - SunCon, IJM, WCT, etc
3. System Provider - SNS, JCY, PowerWell, Nvidia, Seagate etc
4. End User/Customer - Google, NVidia, Apple, Meta etc

and here this is just the beginning of the story. JCY already turn to black last Qr, just imagine what gonna happen next quarters.. Look at Seagate. Numbers wont lie.

I'm just stated the obvious from various info that are available.
If Seagate can cruise to near ATH, i hope JCY can do the same too..
In their call, Seagate also talked about adding capacity from their existing facilities which is the same with JCY now.. meaning that they can quickly expanding without spending much capital and time.
Just wait for the Qr and let see if the can double or triple the profit.

well, just for me personally, I prefer to be looking already beyond 3q and 4q

so, I am not particularly concerned about 3q report, for me I prefer to not see it as that critical to longer term prospects of jcy

Again and again l want to reinterate again. One thing investors never learn is the stock price depend on sentimen. If you are hungry you eat more and more. If you are full you will not eat but push away the food. Afterall all investors like a lost sheep and sell off and buy when sentimen is right.
