some people here are either trying to con other people, talk without knowledge, or are pushing certain narratives for someone's interest, even using the Bloomberg terminal we cant see IDSS order queues, we can see the compilation on Bursa's Dibot platform (one of the source which cost MYR 20k per annum subscription) only the next day. Many of the fund managers in malaysia have certain mandate and shortselling is not part of their portfolio, few type of shortselling are IDSS, RSS, PSS, & PDT, and they are highly regulated. Most of the short selling done over the past few days were IDSS, IDSS as the name suggest, they are required to be cancelled off on the same day. Organized short selling are done by private players through multiple accounts, to acquire large chunks of the company's shares, or hostile take over, or profit from the spread of bad news. insider took advantage of their knowledge of the company's directors share pledge position, their inability to defend their stock price and the potential margin call and their inability to cover which was boosted by the news of the sukuk extraordinary extension and project delays to cause market wide sell rush.
