Extract from the proposed distribution plan:
FUTURE PROSPECTS OF GOLDIS GROUP
Moving forward, IGB would cease to be an associated company of Goldis and Goldis would no longer account for any contribution from IGB to its earnings.
Notwithstanding the latter, the Goldis Group continues to hold property investment and private equity investments which are
contributing positively to the Goldis Group’s earnings, such as GTower which has a high occupancy rate of more than 90%, as well as its investment in other businesses such as the information and communication technology, waste water treatment and food and beverage.
In addition, the Goldis Group will continue to evaluate potential investments in line with its strategy to further expand and grow the Goldis Group and to create sustainable returns on its investment to its shareholders.

its all depand on the entry price.
if yu entry price is lower than the cash rm. 172 payment than worth it because after the cash repayment yu still own the share

Posted by Jian Bin Siew > 2013-05-09 23:21 | Report Abuse

This company nta is more than 2.30. After RM1.72, still own GTower.

Posted by Jian Bin Siew > 2013-05-12 13:46 | Report Abuse

Yes, u can either get cash or new share but both also worth RM1.72. After that, still own Goldis. But no more contribution from MReit.

the IGB Stake is not dispose to the market but to the SPV co. So IGB share will not have overhang.

After the cash and bonus i believe the share price will be cheap.

Posted by Siew Jian Bin > 2013-05-15 16:00 | Report Abuse

Now, the question is, will the price go below RM0.34 after cash distribution?

Goldis unit gets China concession
Goldis Bhd’s Singaporean unit Crest Spring Pte Ltd has signed a build, operate and transfer (BOT) concession agreement with Yantai Economic and Technical Development Zone City Management and Environmental Protection Bureau to undertake a sewage treatment plant concession in Shandong province, China. In a filing with Bursa, the company said a project company, with a capital of RM15mil, would be established to undertake the upgrading and expansion of the existing sewage treatment plant in Yantai Economic Development Zone, operated by its other subsidiary, Yantai Xin Cheng Wastewater Treatment Co Ltd. actually the goldis deal is not fair to MI like us cuz the major shareholders buying IGB shares at 2.34 per share which is way below the fair value of IGB. Although SP share is being offered as option but who will want to own the unlisted shares? like it or not, as a MI, we will just opt for cash value. with this, the Goldis major shareholder will then buy up MI IGB shares at a cheap price of RM2.34 per share.

Put it in another way, should the 30% IGB shares held by goldis be open up for tender? in order to fetch the best value for MI? this current structure is another to screw up MI of Goldis or rather indirectly to force MI of Goldis to sell IGB share at rm2.34 to goldis major shareholder...

Just another creative structure from the banker to screw up MI Goldis shareholders for the benefits of Goldis major shareholder. The fairest way to do it is to carry out an open tender to sell the 30% stake in IGB and then the cash proceeds to be distributed to shareholders...

naga2013, you are absolutely correct in call to open the 30%IGB stake to tender, that way the returns will even be higher. The watchdog minority interests should be invited to investigate the management's decision. Similar situation as the MBFH case where the takeover price was readjusted higher.

Yes, if the major shareholders are so keen to buy the 30% IGB stake, they can always participate to bid for that block of shares...

The major shareholders always like to mislead MI. Yesterday, The Edge article looks like they (the major shareholders) are the "GENEROUS GUY" to reward MI which in fact, it's a way to rob the wealth from MI...

Posted by blackangel2011 > 2013-05-21 15:34 | Report Abuse

Major shareholder pay 30% IGB share = 1 billion ,
IGB hold 51% of IGBreit

30%share in IGB =indirect equal to amount of 730 MILLION in IGB REIT

Major shareholder low risk to pay 200++ million to get 30% controlling stake & 30% share of good asset in IGB like: 51%IGBreit(worth 2.42b),a lot of good property, like hotel, office& land to develope which have no revaluation since many years ago . still have lot of subsidiary companies which worth more than 2b .

Sure they untung kau kau !MI only can get RM1.72..
