Market is 6 months in advance. The price of tin at LME US30000 per ton is the base. Now the price is hovering at 37800 and Qtr result would beat analysts consensus. My two sen opinion

No respite in sight for acutely tight tin market

Tin hit an all-time high this year, and was the best performer across the base metals space with a year-to-date gain of nearly 80%. In a context of mixed macrodynamics, the remarkable appreciation of tin prices has primarily been due to extremely bullish supply/demand dynamics.

On the supply side, the Covid-19 pandemic has impacted key tin-producing countries like Indonesia and Malaysia, resulting in lockdowns and output curtailments. It has also disrupted concentrate supply, especially from Myanmar, the world’s largest producer, where Covid-19 restriction measures have undermined the flow of raw material to Chinese smelters. And in China itself, Yunnan province was impacted earlier this year by a heat wave and energy consumption restrictions, undermining smelting activity.

On the demand side, tin has benefited from firm demand from the electronics industry. According to the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA), global semiconductor industry sales expanded by 23% year on year in the first seven months of the year, with robust demand across all major regional markets.

Pioneering lithium-ion battery start-up StoreDot is focusing on silicon and tin to achieve extreme fast charging. Their first five-minute batteries will be available for testing later this year, while mass production will begin in 2024

TIN prices were at $21,000 in Jan 2021.
It is now at $37,500 now.
The uptrending looks so strong.

MSC, the 3rd largest global TIN producer has been supplying to the world mkt for 120 years.
MSC with a well timed, brand new large plant, strategically located at port Pulau Indah for exports, should easily be worth a $5 billion stock n more,,,

This is a solid bull run on EV.METALS = the only metals with real increasing high demand at increasing prices.
this EV biz will grow exponentially with certainty of more EV on the road.

NB: steel is for building n construction. every country has import tariff on steel.

MSC, a global EV.METAL stock n 3rd largest in exporting TIN:

Year 2020, Revenue = $800 mill with tin ASP at $16,000.
Year 2021, Selling price of TIN went up in a straight line from $21,000 in Jan 2021 to $37,500 now = up +78%

Year 2022, Say ASP up +50% at $31,500, then increase in PAT = a whopping $800 revenue x 0.5 = $400 million PAT + increasing yearly vol demand
= i.e. the formula to a coming super GROWTH stock
( ASP should be 31500/16000 = up +96% over year 2020 if u wish to dramatize the PAT)

this is the same exact way like valuing GLOVES in 1st half year 2020.
the big difference is global EV.METAL demand will grow n grow higher in each year for decades n centuries!
