KUALA LUMPUR (May 23): Malton Bhd's managing director Lim Siew Fai has passed away at the age of 52.
Lim passed away on May 21, 2019, Malton said in a stock exchange filing today.
He had been managing director at the property developer since December 2015, and was the brother of Tan Sri Desmond Lim Siew Choon, Malton's executive chairman and major shareholder.
Shares in Malton declined 1.5 sen or 2.73% to 53.5 sen today, giving the property developer a market capitalisation of RM285.555 million.

Definitely a very good news...it means tat we Don have to worry about Right Issue anymore to solve its high borrowing...tis huge proceed will be utilise for working capital n to reduce its currently high Gearing...tomolo another huge rise for Malton coupled with the good quarterly result...

Now tat Desmond Lim n Qatar Investment Authority are injecting huge funds into tis Pavillion Bukit Jalil Mall project, we can be sure Malton's balance sheet is strengthen as the fear of Right Issue is gone...the only things we can expect fm Malton next is UPSIDE!!!

My thinking is that this will greatly reduce the financing cost for the company, but the structure of the JV with Qatar is somewhat complex for the average investor to comprehend, hence the lag in the price performance.

As long as Qatar Investment Authority is onboard, we can expect a full assurance that Pavillion 2 Bukit Jalil will be a major success...As long as Right Issue is avoided, we can be sure Malton is fully undervalued n back to radar screen soon...Malton is expected to rake in around 20 mil net gain fm tis cash injection exercise n tis should also boost its coming quarterly fin result...
