in my opinion, this agreement should stabilize ytlpower earning for now . other short term catalysts include:

1) Singapore's fifth desalination bid
2) Yes from loss to profit

long term 2020-2021:
1) jordan power plant
2) indonesia power plant

Dear Sell, currently YTL Power main profit is contributed by water & sewerage division. With this power purchase agreement, hopefully it can bring power generation division from loss into profit position in 2nd Quarter FY2018 onwards.

This year result so far not good indeed, but YTLP is cash rich company, I believe they still will declare 10 cents dividends to reward shareholders.

Sold 80% drb share and switch to ytlp now...
Mayb the 10 cents dividend wont happen tis year, but ytl's YES ady ended burning money stage...
And indonesia & jordan plant gonna kick in 2-3 years time.
Sitting on huge cash pile for acquisation...

But didnt expect much on SG desalination plant, as 2 out of 4 r SG GLCs linked companies.

YTLP is my biggest portfolio now...may force b vf me, lol...

takashi....must really have long term view here. YTLP is not sitting on huge cash pile. it's engulfed in huge debt levels....and will have to pay hefty interest which eats into their profit and EPS.

If u checked their annual report, the borrowings they have, lets say loan to finance SG seraya, is in sg dollar terms, n indon plants r in US dollar terms, they take loans based on the local receivable currency, n is colleteral to the assets itself. Which means if crisis occurs, they no nid to cover the loans by cash reserve...n the cash they holding now, is hard cash.

Which means harms is minimal. Tats y management been generous declared 10 cents dividend previously.

Unlike others companies, which take loan in US dollar, but biz is dealing in MYR.

But they r not committed for 10 cents dividend policy, and i think they r hunting sum infrastructure project at the market now.
