You lost 4.01 cents a piece and not 3.8 cents a piece.

Your total lost = 5,000,000 x 0.0401 = RM200,500

Had you wait for your target price of RM1.62 next year, your profit can possibly be:
= 5,000,000 x (1.62-0.8778) = RM3,711,000


Calculations:
2,000,000 x 0.977 = RM1,954,000
1,000,000 x 0.865 = RM865,000
2,000,000 x 0.785 = RM1,570,000

Total 5,000,000 shares = RM4,389,000
Average cost = 0.8778
