Riverstone has annual capacity of 15 billion. Meaning they are smaller. Fixed cost is lower. Of coz their Net profit is good. But only at this transition moment. But they can't take the advantage when demand spikes. It's gloves we are talking about. Nothing high end. Glove is a volume game.

Topglove wasted billions to support share prices when it was very high,some even supported at RM8.Its taiko position is not to be anymore.If kossan can maintain its performance,it will become the leader of the gloves sector.Both kossan n harta still have RM 1 billion plus in cash.

The current trend is :-

1) Glove demand is gradually increase, as a lot of stock pile has been reducing or expired.

2) China has stop all the expansion plan, although now they are running at full capacity. Because they are suffering from losses as well, the current low price strategy has help them to increase they market share, but cannot help them to generate profit even running at 100% utilisation. So they have to increase the price and the ASP gap between China and Malaysia is reducing.

3) After dismantle all the low productivity factory, Malaysian player now are better cost efficient. A lot of labour intentisve work have been replace by robotic. Old machine are replace by new machine, faster and energy saving.
All factory roof are installed with Solar, save electric bill and increase ESG scoring. Our player now can achieve profit even running at 40% plant utilisation. Just imagine when volume increase to 60%, sure the profit will be increase substantially.

Q2/23 Gloves loss was 46.98m
Q3/23 Gloves loss was 15.77m (improve by 66%)
Q4/23 ???
