if ex-date is 17/4, means i must hold the stock until end of 17/4 then only i am eligible for the warrant right? means i can sell off all the mother shares on 18/4 market open? thanks.
You can sell your mother share tomorrow and still be entitled to the warrant. As long as it is sold on ex-date onward you will be entitled to the free warrants
Today closing price + warrant exercise price = 1.21 + 0.38 = 1.59 / 1.5 = 1.06 (tomorrow adjusted price) For price of warrant, it depends on mother share closing price on the day before listing of warrant. Price of warrant might have premium or at discount premium.
The 0.38 is the exercise price for the warrants. This was announced on 30th of March. The adjusted price of 0.93 was shown before the market opens this morning. It's just most of us are unsure/clueless how Bursa arrived at that x-price
mdmlyn, your cost of 1.23 should include the value of warrant. wait till listing of warrant only can know whether gain or loss. don't worry, Ni Shin bought more than 10 million, i think they aim for warrant to increase their stake in Caely.
It's like this : Lets say you bought 10,000 @ 1.23, so your cost = RM12,300 Okay current price is 0.925. So say you sold all @ 0.925 = RM9250 So the immediate calculation is that you make a loss of = RM3050
Since you bought 10,000 Caely you are entitle to 5000 Caely-WA, which will be listed in 2 weeks time. Caely-WA exercise price is 0.38, so you will break even if Caely-WA opens at 0.61 which in my opinion is not impossible. Anything above 0.61 if you sell you will make a profit (my calculation does not take into account brokerage fee etc to make you easy to understand)
Of course the above example will depend on the price of Caely you sold eventually, also the price of the warrants when it is listed
If look at klsescreener chart...after adjustment bonus warrant... It gap up... But totally no answer how adjusted price 0.93!! Look like it gap down...
The calculation by hakubasnow has helped, I think. People would not get so frustrated as for e.g. me, who got fed up and sold everything. It was just an emotional act on my part. Otherwise, I think this stock is on an uptrend.
