NTA $1.74 with PE=5.09 is far to cheap. Accumulate on weakness. Assuming conservatively 2017 earning of 22c @ PE of 10 the TP would be $2.20. I would continue to accumulate on weakness.

Was just going through the composition of a sweetened condensed milk:

http://www.milkingredients.ca/index-eng.php?id=193

Noticed that 31% is water and 41% is sugar.

If we remove the water which cost almost zero out of the equation, the sugar's fraction in the condensed milk is basically 41/(100-31) = ~60%

THAT'S A WHOPPING 60%!

Appears like those who have advantage in procuring sugar cheaply may have a significant advantage over the competitors.

Hmm...Able Dairies has AP to import and buy at special bulk price from MSM if required and they practise hedging..

http://www.thestar.com.my/business/business-news/2014/10/04/msm-clarifies-pricing-mechanism-it-reiterates-call-to-tighten-enforcement-on-smuggling-and-to-stop-i/

Sugar trader Moresugar Sdn Bhd says it sells refined sugar to four of these 13 manufacturers at less than RM2 per kg. The company claims that it has an AP to exclusively supply sugar to these 13 companies only. Moresugar says that these 13 companies were given their own APs to import sugar when the Government decided to do away with this kind of subsidy back in 2011.

Some of these companies include Able Dairies, Etika Dairies, Barkath Food, Permanis, F&B Nutrition and Malaysia Milk, among others.

MSM president and group chief executive officer Datuk Sheikh Awab Sheikh Abod, in declining to disclose the price at which it sells to the 13 large consumers, says that industries buy sugar in bulk quantities.

“They practise hedging with sugar refiners to procure their sugar requirement,” he says in replies to StarBizWeek.

Despite its feed material (about 40%) on F&B section / Dairy products is mainly Sugar...and its price had risen so much - over 30% ...this section seems still profitable...why?

may be cause of of this: Government has ceiling price on sugar?

I was looking at Dutch Lady's phenomenal growth below on Revenue...and wondered why? Though the brand played a role..and retained its moat..one fundamental factor is the population growth itself.

http://klse.i3investor.com/servlets/stk/fin/3026.jsp

Then i came across this article below on Japan problem. Immediately made me feel any food especially dairy related business in Africa would be really having enormous growth potential provided they have some moat there...

I think your method of invest is good to use during bull market or when certain theme is in play. But during bear market, the risk is quite high. My assumption is derived from the perspective of my unsolved accounting issue. If they is really an invisible item, then upcoming results will be quite volatile.

You played well in steel theme. Well done.

Kindly be advised that JOHOTIN’s securities will be reclassified from Industrial Products sector to Consumer Products sector with effect from 9.00 a.m., Friday, 16 December 2016.

Valuation for Johotin based on consumer average PE? *of course cannot use Dlady or Nestle PE; how about PE 15?
