TH Heavy Engineering Bhd (THHE) is on track to become a full-service marine construction company in the oil and gas sector, alongside its bigger peers SapuraKencana Petroleum Bhd and Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering Holdings Bhd, after almost three years of being classified as a Practice Note 17 company.
· Last Friday, the company signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with McDermott International Inc, to provide a broad spectrum of marine construction services in the Malaysian and Asia-Pacific offshore oil and gas industry.
· The collaboration will see Mc-Dermott acquiring a 30% stake in TH Fabricators Sdn Bhd for US$24.5m (RM75m). The latter is a wholly-owned unit of THHE, and it is licensed by Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas) to undertake fabrication jobs in the country.
· In the other hand, THHE will also acquire a 30% stake in McDermott's locally incorporated unit Berlian McDermott for the same valuation of US$24.5m. (Financial Daily)

Next year is just few more days away...new company will be set up by mcdermott and thheavy...it will be like Kencana Pinewell colaboration...this is for offshore support installation, hookup and commissioning....

Dah rugi. Counter suspended with thought of great news. News nothing but felt cheated. A lot of people threw the shares. Bought high sell low ? Cut loss and spoke to market analyst and was advised to sell which is approaching to 2013. Suggested me to dispose with cash holding which market speculates of possible election at early of yr 2013 with share high tendency of 20-30% drop. Be prudent. Cash is the king.

Remember "BUY ON RUMOURS SELL ON NEWS"
True enough cannot break resistance 0.57. Anyway the good news only MOU with McDermott. NO BIG CONTRACT awarded yet. Probabably next year.
Meantime price will move sideways or south. Those who had bought today @ 0.545 - 0.550 suggest HOLD with 5% cut loss if go down. Read my last post as below.

My friends the MOU is so great if THH want to move forward and gain big contract. Without MOU with big oil company like McDermott how is THH shares want to go up? After JV then only THH will get huge contract from Petronas as well as other oil producing countries. Shares price cannot go up just like we wanted after announcement, it takes time and if you are willing to wait lets say 1 to 3 months or maybe longer then you will gain huge profit from your investment. I suggest now is the time to buy and keep. I still keep my huge shares of THH. Just my humble opinion.
