PETALING JAYA: An economist has recommended that the massive Bandar Malaysia project located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur proceed only if it is accompanied by the proposed high-speed rail (HSR) to Singapore.

Yeah Kim Leng said Kuala Lumpur is experiencing a glut of commercial and retail space. He said more development would only add to this glut unless it has a distinctive feature.

IWCity got about 800 acres of land in Johor Bahru Tebrau. At market capitalization of RM350mil now, it means the value of the land is appx RM10psf.
That’s way below market price of RM150psf in JB now.

Asset play only works when there are willing buyers. So listing of Duke is the only way to unlock eko value. So I see more potential in eko.

This would be luckiest thing happen to Ekovest and Iwcity on the termination.

With the current covid situation.
Currently all mega projects is dead , raw material price increase , nobody is looking for corporate offices .

It’s a smart move the withdraw out their cash without paying penalty . Right now they have more available funds to invest to the right business.

For me a win win situation , if they continue with this BM , the company will go bankcrupt within 3 years.

Ekovest should just focus on DUKE and KL Rivercity project. IWCity should just focus on unlocking land value in JB.
Both should not involve in mega project like Bandar Malaysia.
With the RM1.54billion refund, they should easily survive and grow in this downturn.
Cash is King now!

Feel sorry for those who panic sell early morning. Very clear that the cancellation of Bandar Malaysia is good decision for both Ekovest and IWCity. That project would have been a disaster without HSR.
Now, with the RM1.54billion refund, IWCity may be taken private as an undervalued company with 900acres land in JB (only RM9psf). For Ekovest, no more RPT to milk its cash.

This share is so under valued , with the termination of BM , it unlocked higher potential of Ekovest .

Right now without the BM project , Ekovest has stronger cash flow , focus on their core duke , plantation and construction works .

Far better than having a mega project from this covid 19 period . I foresee the share will back up to 45 sen leve and above

Ekovest was a good company with well rounded business operation centre on the core construction and highway toll. Until Botak meddle with he managment. Next come into durain farms , IwC tie up, Bandar Malaysia , selling off Ekovest assets , proposed shares exchange.
