Before Golden Hope it was initially Harrison & Crossfield owned by UK. Thereafter bought over by locals with GLCs and renamed as Harrison Plantations Berhad and thereafter changed its name to Golden Hope Plantations Berhad and continue its listing on KLSE.
Lastly it was merged with Sime Darby and Guthrie.
Thereafter Sime Darby was split into Simeplant, Sime Property and Sime Darby Berhad untill today.

before Simeplant split from simedarby the price of simedarby traded as high as Rm12 to Rm13

now Simeplant is grossly undervalue as it has a 200 year history

the lands of Simeplant in peninsula has a very low book value of Rm12k per acre found in Selangor and other popular states

if sold each acre will be up to Rm250,000

Simeplant is very undervalue
