A very quiet and dull market since beginning from the last 2 weeks ago . Despite dropping from 20 to 30 percent for most export stocks , no signed of imminent recovery . This would eventually lead to forced selling in margin account holders and might push down the stocks prices .

There are 10 viaduct packages in MRT2 (compared to only 8 viaduct packages in MRT1), I believe Gadang has higher chances to obtain one of the viaduct awards. Need patience to wait..

@ yeekarwai88, hahaha - that is what i wanna say too,,,,,AZRB winning the MRT2 viaduct package is expected. During the AGM, Tan Sri Kok Onn already state that one package is reserved for bumi. Hence, now we know that this is for AZRB.

It is highly likely that Gadang will win 1 package - if not , why susah susah go get private placement? Gadang is so bloody cash rich in the first place...~!!

There are 10 viaduct packages to be awarded in MRT2.there are 5 company shortlisted according to theedge: AZRB,suncon,ijm,gadang and mudajaya.AZRB and suncon already got the award.i am sure ijm,gadang and mudajaya will get the viaduct package each for over RM1 billion.for the other 5 viaduct packages,they will be awarded other 5 company.

KUALA LUMPUR: Mass Rapid Transit Corp Sdn Bhd (MRT Corp) has awarded the first viaduct work package for the MRT Sungai Buloh-Serdang-Putrajaya (SSP) Line to Ahmad Zaki Sdn Bhd, a unit of Ahmad Zaki Resources Bhd (AZRB).

It said the work package V202 involved the viaduct guideway and other works for a 4.5km stretch of the SSP Line elevated guideway from Persiaran Dagang to Jinjang, Kuala Lumpur.

“The contract sum for the work package is RM1.44bil,” the company said in a statement.

MRT Corp said the award was made following a One Stop Procurement Committee (OSPC) meeting chaired by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Abdul Razak.

AZRB is currently a contractor for the MRT Sungai Buloh-Kajang (SBK) Line for work package V6.

“As a result, it was pre-qualified to tender for viaduct work packages for the SSP Line. Work Package V202 was reserved for bumiputra contractors,” it added.

MRT Corp CEO Datuk Seri Shahril Mokhtar (pic) said the award of the first major work package for the SSP Line was a historic moment.

“With this award, the construction of the SSP Line is truly on the way,” he said, adding this was very significant that the first work package for the project was awarded to a bumiputra company.

“The bumiputra participation target set by the Government was increased to 45% of the total value of all work packages for the SSP Line, up from 43% for the SBK Line,” he added.

So far, contracts awarded to bumiputra contractors for the SBK Line were at 50%, surpassing the government’s 43% target.

Shahril said the successful tender was determined on a best evaluated tender basis, where the tender was evaluated on technical as well as commercial aspects. As such, the successful tender might not necessarily be the tender with the lowest price.

“However, in this case, the successful tender had scored the highest in both areas, emerging best in the technical evaluation and having the lowest price among the three tenders received,” he said.

MRT Corp will be issuing the letter of award to the successful contractor in the near future.

The 52.2km SSP Line includes a 13.5km underground portion. It will have 37 stations, 11 of them underground stations.

There are 66 work packages being tendered to build the SSP Line. They include 10 viaduct guideway packages, one underground works package, two depot work packages, 10 station work packages, and 15 multi-storey park and ride work packages.

The remaining tenders are for advance works, connectivity, systems, designated suppliers and designated contractors.

Gadang definitely will secure the contract of MRT2, just a time of matter

I am already hold Gadang for 18months, i am patience enough and no reason for me to sell my long term investment~

Those that want to dispose their shares in Gadang, please do it so asap, so that I can accumulate, i will say thank you

Dividend 6cents(estimate FY2016), EPS = 32cents, net cash position, every year growth in revenue and profits, such a good stock, where to get?

Buy or sell, hold or patience, just do it :)
