I think it was a mistake for Gadang to use 1.88 as an example in their announcement. Some people read without understanding the whole picture. They should have used $5.00 as illustration and the next day its share price will limit up a few times.

There is price setting regime for Private placement, normally the price is set to have 10% discount to prior 5 days average.

If now 5 days average is RM1.90, then the share price for private placement will be lower, that's RM1.71.

See below extracted from the announcement:

The Placement Shares will be issued based on a discount, if any, of not more than ten percent (10%) to the five (5)-day volume weighted average price (“VWAP”) of Gadang Shares immediately preceding the price-fixing date, to be determined by the Board after obtaining all the relevant approvals for the Proposed Private Placement. In any case, the issue price of the Placement Shares will not be lower than the par value of Gadang Shares of RM1.00 each.

As mention earlier, the private placement need at least few month time before it can complete.

Firstly, gadang must submit application to bursa within 1 month from yesterday, then, gadang need to wait for bursa approval for listing new share, take another 2 week.

only then, gadang can have board meeting to fixed placement share price based on 5 days average weight volume price after secure approval and can identified taker for 10% placement share,

later new share only can be listing in bursa.

The whole process take at least 2 month time

Gadang management act very SUPER FAST...so urgent ..instead of usual 1 month time, it just take few day from proposed private placement to official submit application.....alrdy yesterday submit application to bursa for approval. Based on minimum 2 week approval from bursa, and later few more days to set 5 days average weight volume price, i think gadang private placement can be complete within 1 month....limiting gadang rebound potential now

Price will be hovering at around 1.8-2.0, until the PP process is done. I have seen too many PP case ,where the stock price would stay stagnant for a while. But once the PP is done, price will shoot up faster than you will expect, provided the stock has a bright future.
So please take your time to accumulate, no hurry.

I hope gadang dont sleep until become coma..lol. anyway, just continue to accumulate all the way when price is right and if no changes to the fundamentals and the outlook remains positive. Maybe when we sell in 12 mths time, we have enough profit to buy bungalow d :)
