Since the root cause for INARI to fall is because of Broadcom plan to sell off RF business, we go though some studies find that recent news are merely make out by media, which have no fact at all. 




 

The market have full of unofficially rumour about Broadcom decided to sell off one of its largest wireless-chip businesses.

 

However after we study though and read from varible sources, we find that Broadcom never mention want to sell, and not going to find the right buyer for it.

 

The chip maker is formally shopping the unit that makes radio frequency, or RF, chips for smartphones. Out of no where many news go and simply interpret Broadcom reported the fiscal fourth-quarter conference call for discuss results, Broadcom Chief Executive Hock Tan called the wireless businesses “stand-alone franchises” that don’t fully mesh with the company’s other operations.

When this “stand-alone franchises” message come out, all media interpret as Broadcom wanted to sell off the wireless business. It's highly misleading at some point because if may not the true meaning as Broadcom Chief Executive Hock Tan din't said want to sell it out. 

“stand-alone franchises” could mean to let it go IPO, have new management in control which Broadcom can have better focus in other business, which doesn't mean have to fully sell it. Could be only part of it. Especially when " franchises" mean for an authorization granted by a government or company to an individual or group enabling them to carry out specified commercial activities, for example acting as an agent for a company's products. So it could be still under Broadcom control !

Worst that when we double check the news press on Broadcom about the fiscal fourth-quarter, there din't mention anything about this stand alone !

Not a single word mention about this wireless business. But positive that semiconductor business is bottoming up !

Out of no where news mention that Broadcom is working with Credit Suisse to find a buyer with the hopes of landing a deal in the neighborhood of $10 billion. This has not been announced by Broadcom or Credit Suisse. 

 

 

Talking about Selling the RF unit is different: Chips that filter signals for smartphones was a key segment for Avago before it began a wave of acquisitions early in the decade. The business is highly concentrated; Apple Inc. accounted for more than one-fifth of Avago’s revenue before the merger with Broadcom. Apple and Samsung are still believed to account for the majority of Broadcom’s RF chip sales, which also makes both problematic as potential buyers. Apple in particular has plenty of cash and a known desire to bring more of its chip-design work in house, but it is also highly unlikely to buy a business that would continue supplying key components to its longtime rival. 


Especially when Broadcom has just sign 2 year contract with APPLE, what for they want to sell it?

How about other potential buyer ? Broadcom’s main competitors, Skyworks Solutions only has about $1 billion in cash on its books and Qorvo a little more than half that much. A $10 billion deal way to expensive for them and sharply increase each one’s dependence on Apple in particular. Apple already accounts for more than half of Skyworks’s revenue.

 

Other strategic buyers face their own challenges just like Qualcomm is ramping up its own RF business but may hardly striking a deal with Broadcom as previously Broadcom just Fail to take over Qualcomm. Foreign company such as Taiwan’s MediaTek and Japan’s Murata would face regulatory scrutiny since a deal presumably would include Broadcom’s domestic chip-fabrication facilities. I have collected enough during the 1st two batches...

I'm putting my 3rd batch at 1.60 just in case if it drops further...

Otherwise, I'm more than happy to see Ina fly up to 1.88 either before the New Year Starts or even during the CNY Rally...

Citadel is a smart man...

Two factors why believe 1.88 is doable...

I saw an Edge write up that Foreign Fund has started to come back two days ago. Hence what Citadel said is highly possible.

2nd is this report from IB...

Inari Amertron has been sold down during the last few sessions. As the RSI dipped, it has become oversold. It may rebound in the coming session if it breaks above the resistance price of RM1.65. If this happens, the short-term target price will be RM1.76, followed by RM1.88. Support is anticipated at RM1.58, whereby traders may exit on a breach to avoid the risk of a further correction.

Trading Call: Buy upon breakout above RM1.65
Target: RM1.76, RM1.88 (time frame: 3-6 weeks)
Exit: RM1.58
