lets say I have 5000 shares, after dividend share it becomes 5050 shares, later I sell 5000 shares in market, left 50 shares. Will I get charge by the broker or bursa or anyone if I keep this 50 shares forever and not doing anything?

2387581, keeping shares in CDS will not cost you any charges, you will still entitled for dividend or bonus issue should Sunway declare again in future. Just that you can’t sell this 50 shares using normal trading but have to trade under odd lots which the commission maybe higher ratio compare to the price.

@digi2222 how 1.65 x 100 = 165k? No need see the value, only see how many shares you held, then divide by 100 that is the number of shares you gonna get.

Last 2 year ytl oso list free share..so to make it even lot,I bought some..until 2 yrs oredi..the price still not up..stuck my money there just to make the lot even..so don't be stupid like me.

Just a example..also last year I bought at 1.69 to get the dividend..mana tahu 1 year later still max is 1.69 and even reach 1.38..so u know know la.

Sunway is aggressively expanding its healthcare business and intends to list the unit after 2022. Sunway Medical Centre (SMC) Velocity (240 beds) will complete construction by mid-2019, while another three hospitals in Penang (180 beds), Kota Damansara (250 beds) and Ipoh (200 beds) will complete in 2020-2023, bringing total beds to 1,488 (vs. present 618).

Dudes, I think I kinda know what's going on. For the past few months, the selling at the last 10 minutes surge beyond reasoning. I think this is Sunway itself manipulating the stock price to keep it down. I think it's a valid move to maintain the share at a lower price while the share buyback exercise is taking place.

The recent upward movement is to appease the other major shareholders (i.e. EPF). Whatever is happening, I trust it's all in the best interest of the shareholders, so chill people :)

look for past few months back to last year, you can see sunway kept doing share buy back, and now they reward loyal shareholders with share dividend, its good for loyal shareholder as they can increase their shareholdings without paying any broker fee or stamp duty

last year share buy back price range was around 1.30 to 1.50, this year its around 1.50 to 1.68 and they are still doing it, they are confident

Martin, thanks for refreshing. 2017 Sunway medical recorded 50m profit, last year profit jumped 20% to 60m. With current healthcare PE of 40 to 60. Sunway Medical (Suncity) will at least worth 2.4bn if not more. Let’s wait for good news soon..

Definitely is solid company. Sunway is well managed, reasonable good dividend growth and most important is own by fair or respectful owner. Many people always said Sunway pricing very stagnant. But if you are not long Sunway, you probably may miss all bonuses and dividend. If not analysis deeper, adjusted average closing price in March 2013 is 0.773 and today 1.69, which is about 19% price growth per annum since March 2013. Coupler with dividend. How many company in KLSE can pay 20%+ pa on average?

last year share buy back price range was around 1.30 to 1.50, this year it rose up to 1.50 to 1.69 range as no one is offering to sell below 1.50 already, now the buy back price ranges from 1.67 to 1.69, once no one is willing to sell their shares back to sunway at this price anymore, then the share price will start to move up, looking at its ptbv of only around 0.99, sunway is still relatively undervalue

Yes, 11/10/17 Sunway 1.65. WB 0.68. On 31/10/17. Sunway 1.61. WB was 0.64.
