The problem is Sabah and Sarawak will allow Sapnrg to operate in-land within 10kilo from shore. To Chinese
side it is not Oil they after, 9-Dash-Line is more important. Spartly Island will be under 100% Chinese Control.
Sapnrg is now view as a security threat to USA South China Sea Fleet, directly or indirectly

I would suggest that you take a look and count the numbers of US bases in and surrounding China in the South China Seas.

Chinese wouldn't want to provoke or escalate military tensions. They would rather prefer economic weaponries.

This is what US always said 'sovereignty' and gets a chance to work with South East Asian countries and soon naval base will be built there. Naval base = Nato coming to South East Asia and would be in danger as battle ground/cannon folder when US counter against China. Don't ever get US to come in, it would be a big problem like Ukraine, settle the dispute internally with China. I believe China would do it amicably.
