The short sellling seemed rampant here. They pressed down the price now normally in the afternoon so that they can square thier position out, so don't sell to them.

Sistem Kawalan Imigresen Nasional (SKIN) project, reportedly worth RM3.5 billion, was scrapped.

The closing date for submission is Aug 19, and Datasonic deputy managing director Chew Ben Ben said the company is confident of its high chance of winning the project.

The checking and testing of any system and services esp with regard to national surveilance and security will take abot 12 months of 1 year. Not any ABCD company can withstand this test and come out as a winner.

The machines are expensive, not any ABCD company with bad cashflow can afford.

PKN wanted a big chunk of profit close to 90% of the profit made while PKN is just a sub-contractor - winner takes IT all game but not WIN-WIN,of course PKN got rejected as they didn't have to bear other responsibilities attached to the contract, so, PKN brought the case to court thinking that they can use the authority to force for compliance; somehow, the court is fair, now they have to nego and nego... the outcome should be 50% PKN and Dsonic 50%.

（吉隆坡1日讯）德达飞讯（DSONIC,5216,主板科技组）将参与竞标据知总值达35亿令吉，新的移民整合系统（IIS）合约，且该公司相信其拥有所需的大部份专业知识，因此对竞标充满信心。

德达飞讯董事经理拿督阿布哈尼法在股东大会后指出，公司拥有竞标所需的组件，同时在竞标的各个方面也拥有经验。

今年5月，内政部取消早期的国家移民监控系统（SKIN）项目后，以新的移民整合系统项目向私人领域征求建议书，据知这项目总值35亿令吉。

提呈竞标截止日期为本月19日，德达飞讯副董事经理周民民表示，公司对即将进行的竞标项目充满信心。

“这项目涉及4个核心模块、签证和许可证系统。这是一个非常复杂的系统，涉及20年的数据，但我们精通。”

他补充，公司精通涉及护照系统的第二核心模块，而第三核心模块，则涉及边界管控，即所有检查点和拥有生物识别系统的自动匣。

周民民指出，目前在数个检查点共136个自动匣是由德达飞讯维修，另外，吉隆坡国际机场最新的20个自动匣也是由该公司负责维修。

“移民局和游客的反映非常正面，尤其是面部识别系统，因很多人都没有好的指纹。第四个模块则是执法，以支援移民局。”

大马卡订单已恢复

周民民指出，政府已恢复德达飞讯的大马卡（Mykad）订单，预计德达飞讯的业绩表现将逐步正常化。

“去年，德达飞讯订单剧减是因换了新政府。

起初，政府想要更换300万旧有的大马卡，目前有超过2500万张大马卡在流通，其中300万张是旧有的。但随着更换新政府，对支出持谨慎态度，他们暂停更换新大马卡活动，因此第三季并没有任何订单，但第四季则有20万张订单。”

周民民指出，布城的大马卡订单已恢复正常，约有60万张，因库存已降至“适量水平”。

他补充，以目前需求计算，他们每年需要多达270万张大马卡。

阿布哈尼法也观察到大马卡整体订单减少，是因为德达飞讯现在提供更优质的产品，减少了更换的需求。

他表示，公司提供高质量的大马卡和护照将有助于公司获得更多新项目。

周民民指出，德达飞讯目前正在建设自己的工厂，为银行生产金融卡，以提高赚幅，因目前需从第三方获得资源，且赚幅仅有5至10%。

他表示，目前大马卡拥有自己的工厂和系统，可以享受更高的赚幅。目前仅在巴生购置一家工厂，一旦投入运作，将能向银行提供金融卡，赚幅也将上升。

周民民也乐观看待政府将延长大马卡合约；该公司供应1200万大马卡合约将在12月底届满，但目前政府完成了约40%订单。

“因此我们预计政府将会延长合约，未使用订单可以持续至少3年。”
