If logical buy by themselves before any possible happening or rumor of GO then sell back and offer a GO and buy back....sound fantastic looking at the combined volume of 30 Million yesterday
dear keelin, Mayland is L&G's biggest shareholder, if the project earn money, just afraid like what barbarian say leveraged buyout but the chance is small, however two days ago the volume is too high and the price is not up to expected...i just worry bad thing happe...whether reputation of mayland is good still unknown...so...this is my guess only..i still an newbie in market...
dear keelin Just think what happen if mayland convert 35% of LA to L&G, what heppened to the LA price and what happened to the L&G price? my guess only...
FYI Low Gay Teck started career in Mayland and was project manager in 1966 there. So in simplicity, L&G is Mayland and doesn't surprise me if officially buy over or direction are all from there.
If Mayland converts their LA into mother => their holding increase with better profit + better control => mother price will be affected in short term, and expect to reduce due to additional number of mother shares => LA price will be increased due to smaller amount available, and this will benefits to exiting LA holders because we buy in lower price
you can buy in low price....but i dont encourage you put in all egg in the basket...let say if i got 60k i will split into 3 parts til 6 parts...like L&G (properties), sapura kencana (oil and gas), inari (fibre optic), globetronic (electronic industry), latitud (wood), hupseng (food)...son on so forth...to avoid you lost money in one short, buy pe low, debt ratio low, roe high...these are my indicator

My prediction is the property market will continue to boom before the GST implementation. Even though the GST does not apply to property purchasers, but it will severely affected developers in terms of costing, and they have no choice but to raise the housing price after GST. Therefore, those smart and prospective property buyers should rush to buy before GST.

Calculated since Oct 2013 ard 69Million shares converted to date from the approx 598Million shrs. So 1+1 ie 13cents + 13cents nominal should have exact 598,523,130 + 598,523,130 shrs total if all converted. Assuming at end of June 75 million gets converted and by 1st Anniversary of Oct 2014 since first conversion in Oct 2013 shud have at least 100 million or more converted. This should represent 17% minimum converted in first year. (Technically shud be until end Sep. though) I am using 20% conversion as bench mark to complete 100% by 2018.
What does it mean if more conversion early? From my POV earlier means more attractive and slower means less attractive to convert. I think plus or minus 2 to 3 % from 20% shud be ok. However if very little convert, this could mean the mother and son diff of 13cents is minimal or even less than 13 cents diff. And no point converting. If above happens and they want more to convert which mean paid up capital is achieved, then they must drive a wedge thru and make the diffences larger ie much much greater than 13cents at one point of period to allow it to look attractive and to achieve the objective. My thoughts are the period before the dividend announce will be very key. Because when the dividend is announce, it would have been a second batch of significant conversion.

@Puipui whether his follower will go Holland or not we still can doubt him as the result is not shown yet, but as of "he has disappear" thing, it is just because he's not allowed to post his comments in public forums anymore. He still communicating with us, his "followers".
