Don't expect price to move very high now, just collect as much as you all can. Profit will be visible after the 2nd of the year ( maybe after the 2nd qtr). Clear cut Velesto heading towards better future. Imagine and see what happen if international travel restrictions lift off...wow!

obakh222 This ctr norm is move half to 1 sen each time get a contract. That’s why we don’t encourage traders doing biz here. We don’t want you guys to get burnt for being naive or unaware of the trend here.

More contract wins in store for Velesto

KUALA LUMPUR: Velesto Energy Bhd’s shares rose in early trade Thursday after its unit secured a US$17.68mil contract for the provision of jack-up drilling rig services.

The oilfield services provider rose 5.88%, or one sen to 18 sen, its highest in about three weeks with 9.8 million shares done. Velesto-WA added 5.56%, or 0.5 sen to 9.5 sen.

Velesto’s wholly-owned subsidiary, velesto Drilling Sdn Bhd has won a contract for the provision of jack-up drilling rig services for Sarawak Shell Bhd/ Sabah Shell Petroleum Company Ltd.

It said the contract is for its jack-up rig, namely NAGA 4, with an estimated contract value of US$17.68mil.

The contract is to drill seven firm wells for a period from Aug 15 - Oct 15, 2021 it added.

KUALA LUMPUR: Stocks with corporate announcements to watch for on Thursday include Nestle, Velesto Energy, Samaiden, EcoFirst, Paragon Glove, Ageson, MMHE, AirAsia and Genting Malaysia, said JF Apex Research.

Nestle has invested a total of RM150mil to set up a plant-based meal solutions manufacturing facility in Shah Alam.

The facility, which is the first in Aseanand one of the only two in Asia, will cater to the rising demand for plant-based food and will supply local demand as well as exports.

Velesto Energy said its unit Velesto Drilling Sdn Bhd has bagged a contract worth US$17.68mil for the provision of jack-up drilling rig services.

KUALA LUMPUR: There could be more contract wins in the pipeline for Velesto Energy Bhd as the company has 24 active tenders with a total bid value of RM2.9bil.

According to BIMB Securities Research, the company's recent multiple contract wins signify the recovery in offshore activites, which suggest the worst is over.

Velesto yesterday announced that its NAGA 4 secured a new contract with Sarawak/Sabah Shell to drill seven firm well with a contract value of US$17.68mil.

The contract is expected to begin in September 2021.

NAGA 4 is currently assigned to Mubadala Petroleum for the seven firm wells drilling campaign at Pegaga field until June 20201.

BIMB said the contract win is largely within its expectation but expects more contract wins in ahead.

"To recap, we expect Velesto to achieve utilisation rate of 70% for FY21.

"We expect more contract award in near future as the company is tendering for 24 contracts (16 short term and 8 long term) with total bid value of RM2.9bil," it said.

Currently, two rigs are still idle without contract, while NAGA 5 and NAGA 7 will end their short term contracts in June and September 2021 respectively.

The research house reiterated its "buy" call with an unchanged target price of 26.5 sen based on 1x FY21 forecast price-book.
