There were 71,745 vehicles sold in Malaysia in August this year, 13% more than the 63,676 units sold in July, driven by improved supply chain issues and National Day promotional campaigns by some car companies.

According to the Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA), the number of vehicles sold in August this year is also 6% more than the 67,609 it reported a year ago.

Strong buy with Max RM4.14 from Maybank.

IMO, PE 15 on 25sen = RM3.75.
Until then, hold tight tight collect dividend.
Even at RM3, estimated full year dividend at 16sen(4sen average). 5.3% DY still beats all FD out there.

But there is a difference between a good company (strong fundamentals) and a good investment (one that can enable you to make money).
From a fundamental investment perspective, a good investment is one which is trading below its intrinsic value.
Well, I have not carried out an intrinsic valuation of BAUTO yet. But looking at the PE and PBV trends can give you some insights whether it is worth the trouble. You can see that the multiples today are actually near the historical lows while the ROE is near the historical highs. An investment worth a detailed look?

Every now and then, there is a syndicate doing this kinda selldown.
17 July once, 12 Sept once, and now. Too many chartist want quick money.

Since it's easier to manipulate the chart considering it's easier to just say "downtrend!" or "Support Broken!" than doing value studies that this is a good company with good governance. Last quarter proved without SST, sales is still going strong.

Last time also got such selldown, RM2.25 to RM2 bounce straight back to RM2.5
But after each long gap down usually followed by stronger uptrend. This time drop to RM2.4 and bounce RM2.8 next stop? Classic shake weak holder move.

I tracked the trade. I think the fella short sell around 300-500K shares to create panic. He probably closed his short position. Total trade is 3million, don't know how many shares he collected on discount.

See, short position makes 1-2%, collect extra 0.5-1m shares on discount. By the time back RM2.5. 4-5% profit for 1 day work also not too bad. Range bounded stocks like bauto offers such opportunity.
