Prudentinvestor hate so much Dnex, last time must be kena 'kaw kaw'. what people say you must loh, don't follow blindly, sometimes hard to say because of changing of international economic environment, eg. US sanction on China..
"Prudentinvestor hate so much Dnex, last time must be kena 'kaw kaw" I don't have any single DNEX share and have never invested in the company before. Don't know what businesses the company is doing. You were only making an unintelligent guess that I have lost a lot of money on DNEX.
Ranhill price is almost 100% spiked. And now likely to go down before going sideways. Need to understand that Ranhill is in different league with YTLP as they have multi catalysts to support further spike.
Orang Nippon, DNEX didn't go up to RM6 as predicted by you. It is struggling now at under 50 sen a share. Investors just aren't convinced that Ranhill would spike to RM2 should YTLP increase its stake to over 50%.
I agree with Natsuko view's to see YTL next step. Looks like it is no point for YTL to acquire Ranhill share for only 18%++ and a takeover offer is quite likely and Hamden, the major-shareholders plays a vital role. Just my 6 cents opinion only.
As the legendary investor Peter Lynch once said: "Insiders might sell their shares for any number of reasons, but they buy them for only one: They think the price will rise."
I believe water tariffs in Johor are the highest in Malaysia. Ranhill Utilities' consultants and contractors are doing pretty well. It should be doing much better.
YTL Power could be eyeing controlling stake in Ranhill Utilities, say sources
By Sharen Kaur - November 17, 2023 @ 8:12am
KUALA LUMPUR: YTL Power International Bhd's acquisition of 18.87 per cent of Ranhill Utilities Bhd is right up Tan Sri (Sir) Francis Yeoh's alley, who has consistently shown a keen eye for regulated assets.
Industry observers said the acquisition is just the tip of the iceberg.
"Yeoh has several plans in the works. We believe he may increase YTL Power's stake in Ranhill Utilities because the stock is trading at a discount to its RM1.20 listing price.
"With a healthy cash pile of about RM9 billion, YTL Power may snap up a controlling block in Ranhill Utilities. However, this is subject to whether Ranhill Group's current major shareholder Tan Sri Hamdan Mohamad wishes to reduce his stake in the company," a source told Business Times.
Francis is a player. He will play his game ... now collecting it cheap via Nominees... once ready will launch GO at 1.20 to 1.50... he has strike a deal with Hamdan. YTL always wants 100% of an asset.
