Hopefully will not be the worst qtr result. Crude oil price went up too fast in 3rd quarter. Doubt the company able respond fast enough to adjust product pricing. Could only go back to rm5 if crude oil price back to 50usd.

JOHOR BARU: Lotte Chemical Titan Holding Bhd hopes the completion of its third polypropylene plant (PP3) in Pasir Gudang here will meet market demand growth for polypropylene in Malaysia, Indonesia, China and the rest of the South-East Asian market.

President and CEO Lim Dong Woo said with the PP3 plant having commenced commercial operations on Sept 1, the company now has a total polypropylene production capacity of 640 kilo tonnes per annum (KTA).

“The additional 200 KTA production capacity generated by the PP3 plant will improve efficiencies and competitiveness,” he said in his speech during the inauguration of the PP3 at the Pasir Gudang Industrial Estate, here yesterday.

The ceremony was officiated by Permas State Assemblymen Datuk Seri Che Zakaria Mohd Salleh. Construction of the RM640 million plant started in March 2017 and achieved mechanical completion in June this year, adopting the technology provided by Lotte Chemical Corporation Korea (LCC), the parent company of Lotte Chemical Titan Holding.

The PP3 plant is part of the company's expansion plan to utilise additional propylene generated from the company’s Fluidised Naptha Cracker (FNC) which commenced commercial operation on Dec16 last year.

Lee also said the company would continue with expansion plans based on the vision to be a top-tier petrochemical company in South-East Asia. “With the completion of the PP3 plant, the company's next focus will be developing the integrated petrochemical facilities in Indonesia (IPF) which is a million tonne naphtha cracker with downstream petrochemical facilities,” he added. — Bernama

Ltd (“LEC”) and Lotte E&C Malaysia Sdn Bhd (“LECM”), the related parties to the Company, had on 22 October 2018 accepted Letters of Award dated 18 October 2018 from Lotte Chemical Titan (M) Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of LCTH for the following contracts:-

Contract with LEC for offshore engineering and procurement of a new boiler and ancillary equipment; and
Contract with LECM for onshore engineering, onshore procurement and construction of a new boiler and ancillary equipment。

Not really. Revenue increase.. profit decrease becoz of cost which already factor by the price. Read the report to understand more.
