This week, the company intends to elaborate on its progress towards start of production, including providing an update on beta vehicle production and other important business developments, on its inaugural earnings call. #GREATEC dropped more than 11% today mainly due to its major customer "Lordstown Motors" pumping fake orders to artificially boost demand for its forthcoming Endurance pickup truck.

LORDSTOWN MOTORS 昨晚大起。。

做空機構興登堡研究公司(Hindenburg Research)成功狙擊電動車商Nikola後，如今再次出手！這次他們鎖定電動卡車商Lordstown Motors，指控Lordstown誤導投資人，預購訂單嚴重灌水，讓Lordstown股價狂瀉。

MoneyDJ iQuote報價顯示，12日Lordstown股價跳空慘跌16.54%、收14.78美元，創去年11月2日以來收盤新低；盤中跌幅一度高達23%。

Insider、Barron`s、華爾街日報報導，12日興登堡宣稱，Lordstown「沒有營收、也沒有可銷售的商品」，已經出手放空。Lordstown 1月份表示，該公司的「Endurance」 電動卡車獲得10萬張預購訂單，預定今年稍晚正式開賣。興登堡痛批Lordstown蓄意誤導電動卡車的需求和生產能力。

興登堡報告稱：「Lordstown持續強調獲得10萬張預售訂單，以證明該公司電動卡車需求暢旺。我們和Lordstown前僱員、企業夥伴談話，並廣泛檢視文件，發現該公司的訂單大多是虛構的(fictitious)，用來籌資並賦予合理性」。興登堡還說，他們找到一些下訂客戶，有些人根本沒錢買預定的電動卡車，而且預售單沒有購買承諾、取消也沒有罰則。

S&P數據顯示，興登堡報告公布前一週，Lordstown的在外流通股票遭作空比例，從3.4%升至5%。

Lordstown反擊興登堡報告只說出片面事實、充滿謊言。外界指出，預售是電動車界的常見作法，先前特斯拉推出電動卡車「Cybertruck」時，也曾定期公布預售訂單。Cybertruck預售訂金只要100美元、並可全額退款。

作空SPAC成風潮

2020年10月Lordstown靠著「特殊目的併購公司」(Special Purpose Acquisition Company、簡稱SPAC)借殼上市。作空SPAC是當前華爾街的熱門交易之一，S3 Partners數據顯示，SPAC空單部位從今年年初的7.24億美元、近來飆升三倍至27億美元。

Lordstown之外，借殼上市的電動車商Lucid Motors和電動車技術商XL Fleet也是火紅的放空目標。Lucid與SPAC業者「Churchill Capital Corp. IV」合併，3月份放空比例成長兩倍、來到5%。

上週做空機構「混水」(Muddy Waters)宣布狙擊XL Fleet，指控XL Fleet銷售灌水、在技術等方面誤導投資人，有許多不正確之處。3月3日混水報告公布當天，XL Fleet股價重摔13.10%、收13.86美元。3日15日該公司收盤價為12.79美元。

做空機構：Nikola為精心策畫騙局

興登堡踢爆Nikola一戰成名，讓Nikola創辦人黯然離職。Business Insider、Fox Business去年9月報導，Hindenburg報告稱：「我們相信Nikola是錯綜複雜的詐騙案，建立在創辦人兼執行董事長Trevor Milton職業生涯的數十個謊言之上。」Hindenburg引述電話、簡訊、照片作為佐證，指控「我們從未見過上市公司進行此種程度的欺瞞、特別規模如此之大」。

Hindenburg表示，2019年Nikola宣布要收購顛覆業界的公司，未來該公司生產的鋰電池，重量和成本都不到對手一半。但是此一併購並未成真，後來Nikola發現該電池科技只是概念。可是Nikola沒有收回此一說法，Milton仍到處吹噓。Hindenburg指控Nikola從事多種詐欺行徑，如誇大旗下電動卡車的技術、並灌水訂單數量，他們認為Nikola合夥人沒做功課，才會和Nikola合作。此處的合夥人應該是指GM。
