If PM Sabri had intervene and allow Najib's conviction to be overturn, it would spell disaster to his administration!
It would mean, Mohiden will pull the rug! Thankfully PM Sabri had a change of heart at the very last minute and execute plan b instead!
Najib is out! Now, it's Zahid turn!
To wait for Umno election, it would not be favorable for PM Sabri or majority of Umno lawmakers! Instead, the best way to get rid of Zahid is to expedite his court charges!
I am sure Zahid is already guilty as charge! Once the court has spelled out guilty verdict, Umno can then proceed to purge him as president immediately! Of which, Tok Mat will takeover from him!
Now, this is the best scenario for Umno as a whole! The Melaka by election was actually a referendum for Tok Mat to take a lead in Umno! Zahid personally campaigned for Rauf and he almost lost! This shows that Zahid boys are not favored by malays!
The ball is on PM Sabri! Because Zahid may pull the rug at anytime!

There is a strong possibility that in event Umno does not win GE15 and Zahid remain president, then Anwar would be pulled in by Zahid!
As insiders whisper that Zahid may pull many stunts just to make himself PM and get his charges drop!
