11MW output from its kerian solar farm is too small to channel profit...Mkland needs at least 500MW in total to create deep impact to its Solar earnings...So lake Floating Solar farm is the answer to this calling to channel huge recurring income to MKland...I believe they might secure more than 300MW from the LSS5 to solidify mkland as a prominent Solar player in the RE industry...

Rileks Dasan, MK's value doesn't just based on its RE venture in fact that is the least of its entire net worth...We are interested in its 4800 acres of land in which the share price is trampled down at 0.18 and that spark buying opportunity as it is deeply undervalued...I understand ur feelings as u failed to earn money on this slow counter...But ur time will come one day, u just need patience to persevere when its share price is doomed...even if MK fails to win LSS5 project, it doesn't decrease it's land value...its RNAV is above 2.00 per share while the share price is just 0.18 indicating that is totally mispriced...

Who would have discovered Tanco which was trading at just 0.30 a year ago, skyrocketed to nearly 2.00 per share after it won Ai Port project in Port Dickson...To me the major catalyst that could lift up Mkland tremendously lies in its plans to develop industrial properties in Northern Perak...they have identified 2300 acres of land for that purpose, in due time that major project should be unveiled in the future...

I concurr with you BUT don’t expect it soon. Might take a couple years. The so called land are deep inside without proper access. I also believe that it is a lease hold otherwise big big property developers would have made a beeline to buy land from mkl. Study deeply before making sweeping statements that could trap innocent Ikan bilis buyer.

No worries Dasan, they have identified the exact landbank to develop industrial park just hope that they expedite the project planning...at 0.18 the price will never go wrong as it is totally battered and trampled wayyyyyyy below its Net Asset Value...LSS5 project if they manage to secure package 1 or 2 is a bonus...otherwise Mkland is still undervalued with or without LSS5...

@singkalin Yes you are right, in the sense of Directors and Management Team aggressiveness to bossy their business. Hopefully they will find good management team, to capitalise and work on their high value land. I have read their full list of landbanks, very attractive, which located somewhere in Sg. Buloh.

@nemesis You are also right. Their assets are worth double than current value. Just look into some of their revalued land, immediately got double. It explains why despite of low profitability, their value of NTA is keep on increasing.

I have increased my stake in this counter yesterday. Thinking of increasing it further soon (This is not buy-call).
Since u sounds like an experienced investor, do u have access to reach to the directors and get clarity of their future plan?

In 2014, PublicInvest estimated MK's remaining landbank in Damansara Perdana alone is worth 1.4 billion...that was 10 years ago yea...So how much do you think it is totally worth after 10 years later...Here we are just counting the 190 acres of land in Damansara Perdana, we haven't even touch its 4000 acres in Northern Perak and others in Kedah and Selangor Taman Bunga Raya...Now you go find their Land Held For Development under Non Current Asset is stated ard 750-780 mil that is based on book value the land was acquired long long time ago...If you have to dive deep into serious math, Its RNAV if revalued to current land value could sit nearly at 3.00 per share contrasting its share price of just 0.18....What a joke! How could it be so battered n trampled down????

For short/middle term player, you might want to look into stock like mstgolf, lotus & binacom. These counters almost hit the rock bottom and waiting for time to rebound.

You must be analysing the company very well. I did some thorough analysis as too, before keep on increasing my stake over here.

Go to 2023 Annual Report, Page 152. Their recently revalued land in Mukim Sg Buloh (revalued in 2023) worth average RM 8-10 Millions per acre.
The rest of their land in same area, valued in 1999/2000, only worth RM 1M per acre. As the revaluation exercise goes on, the NTA keeps on increasing.

Above is just one of the example. Browse through the rest of their assets, just wow! They are safe just because of the family is controlling 48% of the shares. If not, I believe many tycoons out there are aiming to takeover this company 😂

In my opinion, they have the strength in terms of assets, but lacking in terms of business growth appetite and less ruthless for their non performing business.

I think they should divest the education and leisure arms, and put serious focus in RE sector, because it is clearly where the future lies and align with gov policy to move towards net zero carbon ambition.

From your highlighted analysis on their revalued Damansara landbank in 2023, it is suffice to say that it's remaining 190 acres of land in DP should worth more than 2 bil...to my guesstimate, its total value for its 4800 landbank should worth around 4-5 bil by now...Asset rich but earnings weak...they must embark on a corporate exercise to unlock their Land assets...

To my wild guess, maybe MK will secure at least 50MW from the LSS5...Pls take note that MK's plan of exploring and set up Floating Solar Farm is an independent project that is not part of the LSS5...Even if MK fails to secure project fm LSS5, its plan n venture to set up Floating Solar farm at Bukit Merah will surely take off soon...Just be patient Dasan...Mkland is Ascending New Horizons!!!
