Reaffirmation Act passes US House with bipartisan support

A bill aimed at securing the federal trust status of the Mashpee Wampanoag tribe's land in southeastern Massachusetts passed the U.S. House Wednesday.

The final vote was 275-146.

After the vote, Keating called the legislative victory a step toward restoring justice to the tribe that welcomed the Pilgrims to North America. He also praised the 47 Republicans who voted in favor of the legislation.

Outdoor theme park moving on from Fox/Disney setback

Recent images posted on a website tracking progress for the theme park shows that remodelling work has begun.

The $1bil lawsuit remains ongoing. Genting/Resorts World is a global brand name, winning the lawsuit against Disney who is an entertainment powerhouse would be a major coup for Genting.

It makes so much sense for Genting to pursuit the lawsuit, sacrificing 1-2 years of theme park income to pursuit RM4.2bil (50% of annual revenue). This also sends a strong message that they will not be pushed around by competitors or potential partners.

The owners are thinking ultra long-term. After all, the company will be passed on for generations and minorities might just be sticking around for weeks or months - so why bother about the weak shareprice for a year or two?

I believe Genting's case is strong, they have a track record of completing projects on time, just think about Universal Studios Singapore. It is highly unlikely that the delays on the outdoor theme park is entirely their fault.

Likely, Trump will veto the bill.
