According to Nikkeii Asia, $TSMC is finalizing their plans in expanding towards Japan and expect to commence at 2023.

TSMC targets to produce an estimated amount of 40,000 pieces of 28nm chips monthly after completing two phases of installation and commencement. The main client at Japan for TSMC will be SONY.

28nm chips usually used in automotive sectors and consumer electronic products.

Well in our mind when it comes to consumer electronic products of SONY will be.... PLAYSTATION!

There is a possibility of JV between TSMC and Sony for the japan plant however no response been given from SONY and TSMC yet. The latest news announced were TSMC site visit and inspection on 15th July 2021.

If TSMC were to expand to Japan and increase their chips production especially to SONY, the local company that benefit will be Fronkn.

So this will be a good news for Frontkn holders too.
